I bought a copy on Black Friday, but I haven't opened it yet. I am looking forward to spinning it soon.

That’s cool, man. I missed out on record store day, so ended up getting one on eBay. I really like the art, and the color. I wish I could comment on the sound of the vinyl better, but I have this cheap Crosley that sounds awful. Listened once and put it up until maybe one day I decide to invest in a better setup. I will say I’m liking all the songs better than I did after the first couple of listens. It’s pretty solid album, I think. Enjoy your listen.

Ah.  I was lucky enough to be looking at my email when the MOFI announcement hit.  Although TBH, I really want this for trade bait.  I want a MOFI Eat a Peach or Idlewild South.

I love Duane era ABB. Both of those records are great, especially Eat A Peach.

I have the MOFI Brothers and Sisters and it's wonderful.  So much fuller than an OG. If you ever run across it,  don't hesitate

I'm afraid to look at how much that is going for.  Somewhere along the line, my early pressing went missing (probably ended up in one of my roommate's records when I moved in the early 1970s) so I ended up getting a 1972 reissue which I still have, but the quality of that pressing sucks big time and I LOVE that album.

OUCH!  Yeah, I just looked at the MoFi vinyl prices on Discogs.  Damn!  I fear I shall never hear that album properly again!

$94 is the retail price for the Blonde on Blonde.  The Discogs prices are inflated but there was just a release last week. Unfortunately it's probably gone everywhere already.

Yeah, looks like it's gone.  But even at $94, that's more than I'm willing to spend right now.  I need to keep watching for a decent Legacy pressing.

Keep an eye out on the musicdirect fb page because they're posting in stock alerts and about 2 minutes later things are selling out because they're only releasing a handful of the older titles they have lying around in the warehouse at a time.

Finally got around to picking up the U2 Joshua Tree 7 lp vinyl box set. Have been eyeing it for years and finally got it when Sunrise Records had it on sale for $140 CAD last week and super happy I did. Gorgeous box and the sound of all 7 lp's is amazing. Normally I don't listen to remixes more than once or twice but I really like the ones in this box and have listed to them multiple times now. And the live show is incredible. Really happy to finally own this.
I picked this up last year with extra bday/xmas money/gift cards and I totally agree. Such a wonderful set. Everything about it is fantastic. So glad to have it in my collection.

That records sounds so great.  Plus the smoke purple looks really cool.  Someone at Target understands vinyl because they consistently pick high quality masters to press.

Yeah its great. Like you, I think it's great I can go to Target and find a high quality vinyl record. A couple of the Walmart releases have not been too bad either but I hate going there so if I hear about a decent pressing I usually order it online.

Picked up the target reissue of Purple Rain mastered by KG.
Walmart is a fun and good learning experience for people watching sometimes.
i make sure i look in the mirrors while I'm people watching...yikes!
I actually had to go there today to grab something really quick and it was prototypical walmart. All of the registers with actual people working were closed so everyone congregated at the self checkout area. Everyone at the registers looked like self checkout was some sort of new concept and each person had to ask an associate for assistance and the person Who eventually came to help them looked just as puzzled as each of the customers. It's like all of the "people of Walmart," stereotypes came to fruition in real time and I just stood there half laughing half crying inside. Good start to the day.
