So finally got all my Father's Day Acoustic Sounds order in. Knocked a HUGE dent in my wishlist. Should have a great time going through all these. A lot are supposed to be the definitive versions available.

Wow! Score, score, score!!!
Happy listening!
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Never actually owned any Radiohead on vinyl even tho they’re one of my top 3 bands ever and im obsessed with vinyl. Changed that the other day (not pictured—- Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, The Bends, OK Computer, In Rainbows boxset 45rpm)

What'd the In Rainbows 45rpm run you? It's on my wish list although I haven't seen any for under $200 The rest of those the XL pressings?
Yeah they’re all XL’s. Some are 45rpm which is nice. Amnesiac sounds particularly incredible. Havent spun all of them yet.
boxset was $170 NM. Comes in tomorrow! Supposed to be their best ever pressing so we’ll see.
Thanks, keep me posted. I may spend a little more than planned if it sounds that good. Seems to be a common thought which is why I've been on the hunt.
Very cool. They are a forgotten band by most in the evolution of melodic hardcore. No Need is a classic, can’t wait to hear it on vinyl for the first time.
Continuing with the recent jazz themes, I just got Miles Davis's "Kind of Blue" (as well as The Roots' "Game Theory"). I really dig "Kind of Blue" and am looking at getting "Bitches Brew" or "Sketches of Spain" next; will listen to recommendations if anyone has any.
Let me know how it is. I ordered Sticky Fingers, It's Only Rock N' Roll, Black and Blue, Some Girls, and Tattoo You so far.
It’s fine, I’d call it a 7. It’s compressed for sure. Vinyl is heavy and flat. Quiet, so that’s good. But there’s not much air between the instruments. Drums don’t hit hard. If you have any of th last round of abbey road Stones, it’s on par with Exile. I’ll probably continue to search for a cleaner copy of an original.

Another must have Miles: Jack Johnson
Picked a copy of this up today.
Excellent! Enjoy!

Man it lived up to the hype. Easily the best Radiohead pressing i’ve heard so far and probably one of the best in my entire collection. Really, really good. The box itself is really cool. Two different books inside. In Rainbows 1 and 2 on CD.

Are you just getting into jazz? If so, Bitches Brew may not be the right next record. It's very different. KOB is modal jazz whereas Bitches is experimental, avant garde. The next step for you might be something like John Coltrane "Blue Train" or "Love Supreme". They are closer to the modal sound, although a bit more faster paced.
I've wanted to give jazz a try for a while, but I am just getting into it, after watching the documentaries for Miles Davis and Coltrane on Netflix. I ended up getting Coltrane's "Giant Steps" (along with Beastie Boys' "Check Your Head") and I'm digging it for sure.
Virginia Beach 2000; Pittsburgh 2000; Columbus 2003; D.C. 2003; Pittsburgh 2006; Virginia Beach 2008; Cleveland 2010; PJ20 2011; Pittsburgh 2013; Baltimore 2013; Charlottesville 2013; Charlotte 2013; Lincoln 2014; Moline 2014; St. Paul 2014; Greenville 2016; Hampton 2016; Lexington 2016; Wrigley 2016; Prague 2018; Krakow 2018; Berlin 2018; Fenway 2018; Camden 2022; St. Paul 2023; MSG 1 2024

Enjoy! It's a whole different vibe but still feels fresh after 70 years! Im really enjoying my jazz odyssey of the last few years.
I'm thinking about filling the Sticky Fingers hole in my vinyl collection, so I'd be interested in how this hits...
See above for the review. The thing about Sticky is that there is no great version. There original UK is supposed to be the best, but that will run you serious cash, and it's allegedly still not great.
So if you don't have a copy at all, this new one is probably as good as you'll find without spending a ton. I have an original US and I prefer the reissue from a few years ago.
