Major thrift score find for one dollar (it doesn't happen often and I don't mean to sound bragging but, oh man, is it fun when it happens!). This is such a cool album- not flawless, but funky and cool and on the first cut I'm thinking, "Wow, cool, Hendrix made a guest appearance on this LP"... until I realized Jimi was dead before this was made. Also, despite the images on the cover, it is rumored that Mitch Mitchel and Noel Redding played on at least some of this LP.
Randy California was a protege of Hendrix who gave him the last name "California".

No problem, Nice score!
I picked up Beggar's Banquet clear vinyl... Houses of the Holy (they actually have the EU edition which isn't distorted) and Of Monsters and Men - My Head is an Animal..
Got a box of vinyl from someone who was moving house and wanted rid of. Most of it was the kind of stuff I've been passing up in charity shops and used stores for years but I guess what caught my eye straight away was:
Black Sabbath - Master of Reality (UK original 1st on Vertigo) Deep Purple - Machine Head (UK 1st pressing) Pink Floyd - See Emily Play 7" (UK 1st pressing) John Lennon - Shaved Fish (UK 1st pressing) Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy (UK 1st pressing) Eno - Here come the warm jets (UK 1st pressing) Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac (2nd press)
Made shifting all the other stuff on eBay for a couple of quid each bearable. Sold the Sabbath, Deep Purple and Floyd records as they just weren't in great condition. The Eno is probably the most valuable of the lot. Not really my thing but perhaps worth keeping.
- Big Star - #1 Record - Drive By Truckers - Decoration Day - First Aid Kit - The Lion's Roar - Dead Man Winter - Furnace - Ray Charles - Modern Sounds in Country Western - Neil Young - On The Beach
With the 25% off purchases of $60 or more, a $15 off code from ebay, and a $20 eBay credit, and free shipping, all of this set me back $53.00. Not bad!
