I agree, I think we'll see something before years end, hopefully by Summer. Will be interesting to see what direction they go. The jump from Lions Roar to Stay Gold was pretty big, wonder if they will strip it back down with less polish like the first two albums.
Awesome, thanks! Yeah, I think a mix between the two would be perfect. I think I was more impressed with the Lion's Roar tour and audio quality live. I see a similar path like The Head & The Heart last album, which took a little bit of getting in to for me, but they still were great live.

I'm in Sydney, Australia at the moment visiting friends, will go around a few record stores here today and see if I can pick up anything I can't find back in NZ. Found 3 great records in Brisbane last week. Will post once back home again in a few days..

Look at you tracking down the imports!!!
Yeah, I finally found a few things worth buying. It's hard to find good quality near mint records with '80s pricing that meet my cheap ass standards. $46 for all of those.

That's a great haul!! I've grabbed all of those fairly recently except the Beck...which is on my wishlist!
I know your friend really well and they don't recall it working out quite that way, especially when someone has to be nosey, the clerk doesn't understand, "Hurry up, he's gonna see," and you purchase and keep your own copy!

Newbury Comics is having a 20% off sale today. Can't beat that! I just picked this up for like $73. I was shocked it was in stock. Pink too! I'm a sucker for colored vinyl.
(about time - I tried buying an original pressing off of ebay a couple years ago for $125 or something and they scammed me - sent me a really bad quality bootleg instead. I only got partial refund too)

It's his only good album.IMO Honestly I can't listen to his other stuff it's too R and B. Live is more like Hendrix.
That's great to know. I wasn't a fan of his first album because of the reason you gave. His second album is pretty cool though - but I could do without some of the songs. I'll have to check his live album out.

This is exactly how I would've explained it as well. The Live album is definitely my favorite. The version of Catfish Blues that opens the record is otherworldly.
