Who else is there to get to play 3rd base? This seems like a perfectly reasonable deal to me

    Love this

I am not sure what this means for Refsynder. Was hoping he would get some serious playing time this year. Going to be tough with that infield

Do the Yankees have a farm system at all? It just seems like they are over paying yet another below average player because he's the best available. It may work out fine for.them. Arod can still play third, can't he?

Apparently he took less to come here. Abd A-Rod will be 40

Wow, I didn't know he took less to be a Yankee. I guess I've never considered Headley to be that good. I know A rod is old, but he should be able field a ground ball.

How about the farm system? Do they just trade all of their good young talent?

I'm glad the Giants didn't sign him. That said......we still have no one to play third.

The farm has been up and down the past couple years. Was in a good place with the killer b's, montero, heathcott and williams. All of the aside from Betances has been injured,a let down or are gone. Banuelos should be up at some point this year.

That said, last years draft and the insane international signings hVe breathed some life back into it. Pirela and refsnyder are both basically ready though we are only going to see them this year in case of injuries. Sanchez could use a good year. Tyler Austin could stay healthy. Bichette is on h is last leg. But if anyone doesn't get excited about severino, judge and clarkin you are nuts. Plus a dozen or so of the top 30 international prospects in this years class puts the system on a rebound

Headley is a fine player. Great glove and can hit a bit. 4/52 seems perfectly reasonable

Can't count on arod for anything. Could use anything his bat can give them but he is 40, May have never played clean and hasn't played in basically two years

    What in the fuck?!?!?!?

I don't know about this one. Yankees love their young power arms, but huh.

This German kid is a top 10 Marlins prospect, apparently.

What an interesting trade. Yankees clearly trying to get a young power rotation. Could have 4 starters in their 20's at the end of the year.

Someone made the point that the Yankees got McCarthy at the deadline with specific changes they wanted him to make and that worked out. Wonder if they have changes in mind for this

Dave Cameron likes it, who is usually spot on. I just don't know.

I don't think I like it. Prado was too versatile. Had 2 years left, granted $11mil a year may be a little steep. Hopefully Rothschild can fix this kid.
  • I liked the way Prado played for us last year. I don't know either.

Yeah, I mean, I like the idea that this kid is young and has a ton of potential, but man, Prado would have been great for a full season, especially with this roster.

I think i would rather have Prado then Headley.

I think the Yankees will realize that by June.

I hate this god damn trade. Banuelos was my favorite prospect a couple years ago. Hate what they got for him. Banuelos turned into a left specialist and a 24 year old, come on....

So happy Drew signed back up with the Yanks.....and not the Red Sox.
.160 can get you 5 million now a days. Wow!!

I don't like the signing. I would prefer that they go with a competition between the two kids at second, but I get it and it is zero risk. If Drew hits .160 again, they cut him. But they added depth if the kids were to suck or if Didi falls on his face and stinks. He's not exactly a sure thing.

Do not understand these coaching changes at all.

Thomson gets a promotion and Pena gets a demotion?
