you can make a case for CC with his 10 wins, but I think ARod is not deserving. Plus, the 3 days rest would probably be much better for him than all the AS festivities. I'm kind of disappointed Gardner didn't get picked, even for the Last Player vote. He doesn't have the name value, but he had a more deserving 1st half than ARod or Swisher. Plus, he could really help them win the game and home field with late game defense and/or pinch running. With 34 players on the team, why not have a superb CF/basestealer who is hitting 319
Four of those ten wins were against Baltimore though. Now I'm not knocking the O's, but they haven't really had the greatest start to their season. Besides that ten win argument can be applied to ARod, kind of. He has the third most RBI's in the American League and fourth in the Majors.

A-Rod's numbers are pretty close to longoria's 's who was voted in.

50 wins already at the half way mark. and it still feels like the team is not all there yet. looks like Hughes arm is feeling the innings. I'm sure he'll bounce back.

Agreed, I feel like this team has not played up to its potential and is sitting atop the AL East with 51 wins now. Hopefully some of the guys can bouce back to their career averages soon, Yanks will be really scary if they do.

And for our english speaking users - I was at the July 4 game and still can't believe the official scorer gave Gardner an inside the park home run. It was definitely an error but still a win is a win. I just hope AJ starts to get more consistent now that Eiland is back (personally Xavier McDaniel doesn't buy that theory) with the team. All and all everything is grand in the Bronx. My next game will be the Wednesday afternoon game against the Angels.

Rivera is pulling himself out of the All-Star game saying he's pitching hurt and wants the time off.

I love Singleton. I don't mind Kay as much as most but Singleton is great...."Look out!"

They seem to work pretty well together.

    oh and more importantly

they should shelve mo till after the all star break

even if we lose the next 5 games and the rays win all of them were only 3 out after the break..but with a hopefully healthy mo

he needs a solid 10 days off

I was saying this same thing last night. I would DL him now, they need him a lot more later than they do now. Give him 2 weeks rest and let him come back hopefully better. The knee thing does not sound good.

Aceves would be awesome to have right now, especially since Chan Ho sucks. I wouldn't expect much, if anything from Aveces this yeah though. His back seems to be pretty serious.

Yeah, after another setback. He won't be contributing this year. Relief and the bench at the deadline is definitely the priority. Ramiro Pena and Chan Ho are not going to cut it

Not sure how much I like this. Although I do think the "home run derby ruins your swing" argument is nonsense
