Am I the only one who hates Sterling? He would be ok if it wasn't for those obnoxious attempts at creating a signature HR call for every player and his "The-e-e-e-e-e-e Yankees win" after a 9-1 victory over the A's in May.

I like Sterling, some of those calls are pretty funny. Susan on the other hand makes me want to cut my ears off. i

I actually like Sterling and SUsan. I do wish Michael Kay was on the radio though. Kay and Sterling were the best.

I also enjoy Sterling and Susan when I'm listening on the radio. Ken Singleton is probably my favorite TV announcer for the Yankees.

Fuck that shit, i listened to the game today and i would pay money to punch John sterling in his face, very hard. There is not an announcer in baseball that thinks the game revolves around him more than sterling. Not to mention he gets everything wrong. Don't go into a home run call if it's not going out, it's your fucking job to tell me what's going on, get it fucking right. It's pathetic that sterling has anything to do with the Yankees. A complete joke. The greatest sports franchise in the world has a radio guy who thinks it's about himself.

I miss Bobby Murcer. Jim Kaat was also really good. Where did he go to?

And yes, Singleton is the best. I love his stories.

I hate, hate, hate the Yankees lead announcers. Sterling was a charicature of himself the moment he "walked on the stage" (which is hard to do). Waldman is shrill and makes no sense. And Kay is a douche. Much prefer when he's not there and Singleton carries play by play. I can't believe anyone likes them. They're an embarrassment to the history.

The saddest part is, when history is played back, my kids will hear Sterling narrating it. How sad. When they play the mets, I turn on their announcers wherever I am. I love listening to baseball on the radio, but its unbearable with those 2. 5 minutes of pregame the first game, and I couldn't take it any more.

Yesterday, I left work early for something unrelated, and I thought about listening to opening day, then said - I can't. Good side? Got to listen to Toronto 1 boot!

At least on tv, I can enjoy the game with music on. I can't wit until they are gone. I know Kay is there for the duration. But I did get my hopes up when the radio asses contracts were up last year. I think they were georges picks. I think his family is gun-shy to tread on his legacy, and even these few likes are ruining the possibility of getting real announcers to do their games. The only guy worse is the white sox he gone! loser.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

I remember Rizzuto a little bit from 1996, the first year I started watching. It was great to hear him say "Holy cow!"
