He got a lot of help from the home plate umpire. Not that he needed it. But still. That was way to wide a strike zone. And Hughes couldn't get ones down the middle

Like I said back in 2004...It ain't over till it's over so the Yankees are in position to make history for the 2nd time. It can be done again.

I hate to say it but pretty much what I feared and posted about came to a huge realization in the playoffs. They just don't hit with runners in scoring position, rely too much on the HR, and right now just plain forget how to hit. I never saw the last one coming though. :fp:

All us Phillies fans know he can't hit lefties. When they started platooning him last year he got a lot better. I (gulp) really thought they should have pinch-hit Alex Rodriguez. Maybe he was busy talking to girls.

Yanks will fend it off with CC tonight - he looks better than I've ever seen him.

We should be up 3-0 if these guys start hitting we can still win this thing.

I don't have very high hopes, but as we know all too well, it has happened. But yeah, with the way the pitching has gone, it's unreal this series is in this situation.

Just get it back to the Bronx and see what happens.
