    I don't know why he's allowed to pitch, but I think Girardi basically used his relievers with an eye towards having them more rested, though I don't agree with it against the team nearest in the standings.

    If the Yanks win tonight and go 5-4 here on out, the Rays would have to go 8-2, I believe. It is doable with their schedule but with both teams having playoff spots locked up, I don't know if they will be going that hard after it.
