Hustle! Gardner had the play of the game tonight.

2nd time I've ever seen a player beat out a grounder to 1st base. Both yankees. The other was Andy Fox, who hit a grounder to Frank Thomas, who was about 8-10 feet off the bag and loafed it over. His face when Fox blew by him was priceless

Most amazing thing was three straight hits on the first pitch, it was like a rapid fire machine.

Xavier, when Robby came up I said to the people i was with, he better not throw a strike because cano is all over it. What a great inning

I said the same thing. I have no idea why I ever get surprised at these comebacks anymore, but each one is amazing.

me too. that and bringing a lefty in to face Thames. Don't know the exact numbers, but it seems to me that Thames hits roughly .600 against lefties and .220 against righties. Unless the righty thrown 98+, at whih point his numbers go back up near .600. I take my chances against a left handed hitting Berkman in that spot

I really believe Cano is the MVP of the AL this season. He has carried the team a lot during the season.

funny tweet being repeated a lot.
George W. Bush probably shouldn't have posed with that Mission Accomplished banner in the seventh inning.

Ok it's time for number 2

If we can get both in Texas it would be gravy

This game just ended and we start again in 13 hours 8-)

That was what you call "full panic mode." He did break Thames' bat. Still, nice comeback. Looks like you guys want the rematch after all. ;)

Stacking the odds against the Rangers, Hughes has owned Texas throughout his young career. In 15 1/3 innings, the 18-game winner in 2010 has not allowed a run, while going a spotless 2-0. Hughes is also red-hot, having blanked the Twins over seven frames in his first postseason start on Oct. 9.

Wether or not Hughes pitches well or not, i don't think it will matter that much, as the Yankees will score plenty of runs of Lewis.

That win yesterday is looking pretty huge now. Being down two and going against Lee in game three wouldn't be an ideal situation.

Oh man, with Lee in Game 3 and us sending out Burnett in Game 4....

Really wish we won this one.
