Thanks for the Happy Halloween wish silver39 ! Same to you ! The show was absolutely EPIC (and I ain't referring to the record company ) !! The perfect storm . Band firing on all cylinders and then way beyond that threshold , a perfect setlist , a crowd that was going nuts all night , and a 17000 + arena with a small club feel (hot , sweaty, cramped , loud, and even a bit smoky) . Not sure how tonight tops it, but sure glad I get the chance to find out.
Personal favorites from the show were Breath, Hold On, Deep , Jeremy with strings, In Hiding ,and Tremor Christ ;though was hoping the latter would be part of a little Sunday morning religion. Religion as in a block consisting of Tremor Christ, God's Dice, Crown of Thorns, Pilate, and Satan's Bed.

3 shows into a 4-show, 5-day bender, and I am blown away by what I have seen/experienced thus far... tonight will have to go a long way to top last night, which rivaled the MSG shows that have stood as my penultimate PJ show measure... that's right, I used the word "penultimate" in a post!
Insane one of the top three shows of the 14 I have been to. Every show is amazing, but last night was one of the best experiences of my life. The setlist was stellar (cropduster, footsteps, mfc, present tense, and the entire 2nd encore), crowd was possibly the loudest I've ever heard, the overall atmosphere of the show was fantastic. Bad Religion was awesome, haven't seen them in like 10 years and they were just a good as they were then, but with less hair. Watch it Die with Ed was great, I was really hoping they would play this and they did. 3 down and 1 to go, so far for the first three shows I was unable to get 10 club tickets, but tonight I do have them and I hope they are good seats, but it will still be a great night either way.
Was at every Philly show so far and this one was RIDICULOUS!!!!! Crowd was great in sec 214 except the young couple right in front of me who sat the whole show. How you could sit through that is beyond me. Awesome setlist that i still can't comprehend. Deep and Breath were two songs I've been chasing and was sooo stoked to get! Met some cool guys from Long Island in 214 row 16 and 17. You guys rock! Now to bed to do it all over!
I was in 214 row 17 too. I'm still exhauseted from yesterday. That show sucked the life out ot me. I hope they play Brother tonight (I see it was on thr setlist but not played last night).
Oh, and Present Tense may have been the best song of the night.
I also think PT was the best of the night. Then again I'm biased as it's my fav song
I was in 201 row 15 and it was dead up there. Truly a terrible area with people sitting during songs like Crazy Mary, being angry at every song except Jeremy and RVM.
Amazing set list and I thought the energy grew at the night went on, but to be honest the energy was nothing compared to LA 2 which was in a much smaller venue. Not just in my section, you could even see that the floor was rather dead at times from the side.
That being said it was a kickass show and the energy did certainly grow after 6-7 songs. Now I can hope for MSG in 2010
Really enjoyed the show except for the handful of drunks in Section 226, Row 2. They wouldn't stop flailing their arms and couldn't even stand straight - guys, do you think you could drink slightly less so that you actually comprehend the show and make it enjoyable for everyone???
Also couldn't take the moron with the Yankees Swisher t-shirt who felt obligated to hold up his tee over his head every few songs. Dude- go back to the Bronx or whichever bandwagon you came from, please.
Looking forward to tonight's show. I'm really curious to see how the band tops this one.
Parting Ways!!!! been waiting since 2000 to hear that one live. Just looking at the set list, it LOOKS like a show i'd want to be at. And thankfully i was
This show was so amazing!! It's only my 4th, but by far the best!! It was my bf's first and I kept telling him how lucky he was to be at this show. The crowd was great, the set list was UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Cannot wait for the bootleg...
Wachovia Center Philadelphia: It was amazing!! A packed arena with screaming fans there for the same reason as you. To hear one of the best bands ever assembled.
I know tonight's show will be epic and once in a lifetime, and I hope everyone attending has time of their lives, but like cdp1223, I'm absolutely at peace with myself.
Not only was this the BEST PEARL JAM SHOW I've ever seen, heard, or read about, but in my crazy opinion, it was the BEST CONCERT EVER BY ANY BAND.
That setlist had to have been handed down to Eddie from God. WOW!!!!!! I was so in shock in section 201 that I was shaking in excitement. I think I may have teared up at how amazing the show was during "Baba O'Riley."
EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SHOW WAS PERFECT. The crowd was unbelievable. The songs were NAILED. In my 11th Pearl Jam show, I finally got to see my favorite song "In My Tree." On top of that, we got "BREATH"!!!!!!! "HABIT"! "HOLD ON"!!! One of my personal favorites "Cropduster"! MOMASON! WOWWWW!! "SONIC FUCKING REDUCER"!!!
THIS WAS THE PERFECT SETLIST. ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS!! I seriously could not have dreamt a better show or made a better setlist or imagined more crowd energy.
A HUGE THANK YOU to EVERYONE - Spectrum employees, the band, the crowd, section 201 rows 2 and 3. I hope you didn't mind me throwing my sober arms in the air all night much to the chagrin of my sick fiancee haha. YOU ALL ROCKED THAT PLACE: Dude from Toronto, dude from D.C., two dudes with #315XXX, Philly couple.
I can die a happy man now. Even the 3-hour ride back home didn't faze me.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to have flashbacks of this show for the rest of my life.
Have a great time tonight, everyone! I truly hope this show affects you the same way last night did to me.

next to 2 guys who kept sitting down at the most epic times of the show? haha
i was there with my dad, he had a jacket on with white hair...and i was next to him jumping up and down for everything haha small world
so you noticed that too. the funny thing was they kept singing along. I noticed the guy with the white hair, he seemed really into it.
haha i'm wondering if you guys are talking about me and my friend? i was 201, row 4 seats 7 and 8. i definitely didn't sit down through any part of the show except between sets, but my friend did. he's not really a PJ fan but i wanted him to come with me. he still had a really good time, we just walked around all day and that damn metal riser thing was not comfortable to stand on.
glad he had a good time, hope i wasn't blocking your view since I'm somewhat tall. and don't worry about standing or sitting, you paid 80 bucks for the right to enjoy the show anyway you want.

section 214, top rows - good seats for my high number! Don't think they boys are going to end up playing all of their songs, but who cares!!! I heard HOLD ON! Energy was great, surrounding fan club members were really rocking!!! Met a nice 10c member who was up from Miami for the last 2 nights by himself. Loved hearing Habit and just thought they were great as usual. Baba was great as well, don't think a soul had left the building! Tonight will be the best night of my life!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

My brother was at the show last night (and went with me to LA 2) and he said the same thing. Interesting how that could be seeing as how LA 2 was nowhere near as intense as LA 3 or LA 4.
Of course, a lot of time it depends on perspective (where you sit and who sits around you), and with a very unique setlist I can imagine a lot of the non-hardcore fans probably didn't know quite a few of last night's songs.
That being said, great setlist, wish I could have been there last night!

I know alot of people were down on people sitting down this week and I think I defended them earlier in the week. i mentioned age and injuries and other illnesses but tonight I can't defend those people that were sitting down anymore... Like I said before I have a bad back and had the flu earlier this week but once the lights go down and the boys hit the stage I am magically cured and feel 110% better and jump and dance and sing to every song until the band says they're done. Ahh, the healing power of Pearl Jam. I love this fucking band!
Think I have determined, I am going to pass...
I'll follow the thread and smile for everyone at the show.
I didn't think they could top night two and they did. Best show I've ever seen. If they can top last night tonight I could die right there. Was section 320 last night, tonight I'm
in 321. Was unable to get 10c but that's ok. I love that Ed keeps looking back behind the stage.
Wanted to hear smile and thought I might when he busted out the harmonica fr footsteps? Maybe tonight..

I am really debating if I should go tonight. My husband is the long-term fan who turned me on to PJ. He's gone to every show so far and is going tonight. I went on Tuesday and am not sure about tonight. I am not sick (in the sense I am contagious, but I had a serious condition which was bad and had me out of commission the last two days, but has calmed down today. I am still feeling light-headed (and heart and head pounding). From all I am reading/hearing about, tonight's show should be really uplifting. But I am afraid to be one of those downers who has to sit througout the show...especially since my husband has really good 10c seats on the floor. What do you think? On a personal level, it may help me out emotionally to be there. But for the hardcore fans, am I going to ruin your night (mainly don't want to ruin my husband's!)? But after reading the post above, I am hoping the night will magically cure me!
I don't know what to tell you. I have a terrible cold, spent yesterday and all day thus far today in bed in the hotel room while my husband took the kids around the city. Last night's show was awesome, but I was not magically cured by it, absolutely could not sing along or jump around, and did not enjoy it nearly as much as the first two shows because I felt lousy. I think I am sufficiently run-down that I have reached the limit of what adrenalin can do for me. :(
I have a high 10C number, and it looks like my seats for tonight will be in the 300 level. My husband is insisting that I go. Maybe I can find someone who will trade me for behind-stage 200-level seats, so I at least can sit in a less-smoky area? I am so bummed that I am sick. :(

Thanks for posting! Sorry you aren't feeling well (and night wasn't as fun as it could have been!) I am def not feeling up to jumping around :(. So I think that might ruin some of the night for me.
I pretty much am leaning toward not going....
I think my husband is going to try to wait for a bit before posting the ticket (to see if i start to feel better).
I hope you find a better ticket in an area not so smokey! Good luck and feel better.
