They had Brother on the setlist!? I wish I hadn't seen that. That was the one song that would have made tonight, undoubtedly the greatest thing since sliced bread. As it was, it was undoubtedly the greatest Pearl Jam show I have ever seen, but Brother would have probably put it up and over anything else I have EVER seen.
I'm just now getting caught up with things, n3 just looks absolutely incredible.
when I saw the setlist scan, I had the exact thought as Kraven. Not that the night needed anything more, but Brother in E2 would have been just perfect for the list surrounding it.6/24/95, 11/4/95, 11/7/95, 7/10/98, 7/12/98, 7/13/98, 10/24/00, 10/25/00, 10/27/00, 6/2/03, 6/3/03, 6/5/03, 7/7/06. 7/9/06, 7/10/06, +++ most socal pjam shows since...0 -

I think I've already posted in this one, but I need to add that this set was a hardcore fan's DREAM. I loved the unpredictability of it.R.i.p. Rigoberto Alpizar.

The entire night was total KARMA. It gives me chills to think about how perfectly this all fell together. I had previously hooked Joni up with her original ticket for that night and we began corresponding after that. I had also first met DemetriosPearlJam as a result since I have the same first name as she. I then coined us the Aussie Joni and Yankee Joni to keep up straight on the boards. When Ed started talking about a car accident and Joni, the tears started pouring down my face since it was all just meant to be that she was there and it all came together. I finally got to meet her in person the next night and she is a beautiful and wonderful person. She shared her experience and showed me her photos and we giggled like school girls. We talked awhile and it's remarkable how life throws you some horrible curves at times but in the end it all works out and as she explained to me, her life has been going very well since then. A truly remarkable woman and am proud to call my friend. I cherish the picture I have of the two "Joni's" and memory now of that night. I hope she has fun the rest of her trip in NYC and safe travels back to Australia. Besides this the setlist for this night was incredible and it is probably one of the best shows I have ever seen in 35 years of attending concerts including seeing the orginal Who.======================================================================

Very cool! I see more and more proof of Karma every day. Glad you guys had fun. I'm VERY jealous of you seeing the original Who!! I saw them the last time they came to Tampa, which was awesome, but I never got to see John or Keith in person. I bet it was fantastic!!
Here's to karma, rock n roll, and taking care of each other.
Cheers!0 -
Stellar show! The crowd was on top of things. I was in sec 210 and we were letting it all hang out.
Didn't see many people sitting down (only to light one up now and then). Had a fivesome with me from Buffalo, and gotta say the Philly peps were great to us. Appreciate it very much, the hospitality and whatnot.
The first set was a hardcore fan's set, but the encores left the casual fans with great memories to take away.
I wish I was back in the Spectrum right now! Can't stop thinking about it.0 -

Yes I was fortunate to see them back in 74-75? along with the madman Moon. It was a remarkable experience for a young teenager. In this case it pays to be an older member, except after this past week at the Philly shows my body doesn't quite want to agree,
.
As for Karma, I am true believer that it is passed along to one another. I also think that as part of a community we need to look out for each other. I have met and cherish my friendships with many members here and the concerts have become even better for me over the years. And now I get to share them with my son who is old enough to attend and has been raised on Pearl Jam music. Nice to hear others feel the same way. This band is the only one I would even consider travelling to see and I do it each year with my son right by my side. That too is an incredible rush. Nothing like sharing the excitement over a rare song that he's never heard and I haven't in years. During Out of My Mind the tears were streaming and my son understood why, too cool.
As the Who put it: Long Live Rock, I need it every day...
Cheers,

Good to know someone is raising their child right ;-). If we ever wind up at the same show, would be fun to meet you and your son. Long live rock, indeed.

LOL, Holly. Fortunately he's a great kid too and has been mentored by some of the other wonderful people in this community. He even changed his username to Dirty Little Tom after his hero and great Wishlist member. It's really a family and I hope our path's will cross someday soon - like the 2010 tour.

This night had to be my best Pearl Jam show in the 25 I have been to. I wrote kind of a long review/story on my blog if anyone wants to read. It was too long to post here, but it was REALLY hard to keep THAT show short.

Yeah. I can't stop listening to the fan made boot of night 3. The audience was insane and that was one of the greatest setlists they've ever done. Everything flowed together and wasn't choppy like in Night 4. Just my opinion though.
Night 3 definitely cracks my top 5 list. Night 4 is a top 10er lol.- Busted down the pretext
