I know alot of people were down on people sitting down this week and I think I defended them earlier in the week. i mentioned age and injuries and other illnesses but tonight I can't defend those people that were sitting down anymore. Deep, Breath, Sonic Reducer, there was an electicity in the air. It was also awesome to hear Gonna See My Friend. I'm an old school type guy and all but I love hearing the new stuff which is why I really liked the first two nights. And it was good that they played more new stuff the first two nights because I don't think many people dig it and I know the Friday crowd had more old school.
I usually never say I wanna hear the new stuff from a band that's been around for almost twenty years. Eddie said it many years ago about Neil Young, that he was one of the only old guys still making good music. I think Backspacer is a beautiful record and so was Avacado. I was too young to go to Springsteen's shows before Born In the USA, but went to the 1999 classics tour, and then last week when he did Born To Run and Born in The USA and refuse to see any Working on A Dream or Magic bullshit.
Like I said before I have a bad back and had the flu earlier this week but once the lights go down and the boys hit the stage I am magically cured and feel 110% better and jump and dance and sing to every song until the band says they're done. Ahh, the healing power of Pearl Jam. I love this fucking band!

    its called adrenaline!

    what a show.

Present Tense was awesome. A true highlight.

    Awesome seats again.

Awesome crowd. Congrats to Joni. Saw you walking down and over and you had the look of intense wondrous joy. It was nice to see and great of Mr Vedder to reach out and touch people like that.

had great rear side seats behind boom. Just want to say that it was refreshing to see some of the front row rocking out instead of the usual zombie dance that i've seen.... the girl and guy directly in front of ed sang every word and rocked out all night.... great stuff

The energy, the crowd, the boys were on FIRE!

This was # 22 for me, and I know you always think the last show you were at was the best, but OMG, this show I was completely and utterly blown away. I mean, HOLD ON, I think I pissed myself !! In My Tree, Tremor, In Hiding, Deep, Habit, an incredibly moving Off He Goes, sick Present Tense and DTE, and all the Backspacer tunes were unreal. And that was just the main set !! Parting Ways, Breath, Light Years, intense RVM, jamming Crazy Mary, FOOTSTEPS, Sonic......I am just blown away this morning.

Had to drive back to NY last night, sick to my stomach I am going to miss tonights closer, I cant imagine what they have in store. Hope the boys saved some energy for tonight. I'm thinking about somehow convincing my wife to let me head down there tonight. Might be grounds for divorce, but I'm contemplating :D

    TY PJ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best setlist I've seen in this tour so far. Lucky ones!
    I’ll never suck satan’s dick... = P
  • I have to say. The 2nd encore was flawless. "Makes much more sense to live in the present tense." !!

Probably the best first set I have ever seen. After Hold On, it was just a left followed by a right of rarities. The Deep into Habit was the rockingest and loudest I've ever seen at a show. Parting Ways beautiful as always. In My Tree and Tremor Christ were great. Love Cropduster even though most don't. Great crowd and energy all night; my ears are still ringing. Met some great people; tonight will be beautiful.

Seriously, Night 2 got me frustrated and upset and I came into this show having the same mind set. Boy did they change that after 1 song.
Really? You were upset about Night 2? IT wasn't THAT bad!! There is no such thing as a bad show, but yes, night 2 does pale in comparison to night 3, but it was nothing to be upset about, Sheesh!! We got some great songs in the encores!
  • Amazing show, had a blast

AWESOME SHOW!!!! Can't wait until tonight!!! It's going to be CRAZY!!!
I Know All The Rules But The Rules Do Not Know Me.
  • Shit! They played some kick ass songs damn it! Now what's left for us tonight???!!?? Mostly everything
I wanted to hear has been played. Well, they've never disappointed me before. I'll just have to wait and
    see.
  • Have been to all 3 shows this week and am going tonight -- I can't believe that I am up already this morning because last night was insane. We were sec 101 row 4 right in front of the speakers to needless to say the seats were Epic but my ears are still ringing from last night. Night 1 had been my fav so far ( there were too many distractions with the Phillies games for night 2 for me). But Night 3 unbelieveable -- the band was totally feeding off of the energy of the crowd. Have seen PJ nearly 40 times since 1994 and this ranks as one of the top 3 if not my fav.

I am hoping the distractions for the Phillies are not present tonight because this show tonight could be the best all time show !! Need to rest my voice and stop the damn ringing in my ears before I head back tonight to do it all over again !!

Thank you Pearl Jam and Ten Club for the awesome seats !!
  • It was a good show.

great show! I almost have no voice left for tonight, sat in sec 224 left of stage, good seats for viewing the band, sat ten seats from eddies brother, pretty cool he looks alot like ed. Tonight is gonna kick ass! cannot wait! Hope 10c comes thru with good seats taking my son to the show.
  • So, what time did Pearl Jam start and end? Just wondering if they are planning on starting early tonight?
    Any thoughts?

I think they ended around 11:45 last night. I didn't check the time when they started but they played longer than usual definitely.

Im speechless. That show was phenomenal!!!!!!!

I couldnt find my 10C seats or someone was sitting in them so we just moved around and wound up standing against the wall on Mikes side lower level, which was great. The band/crowd energy was insane!!!!!!! I cant imagine anyone bitching about last nights show!!!! I dont know how Night 4 can top that.

    Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuul!!!!

Highlight: Me and my cousin got our jackets on fully prepared to run to the very bottom for the last song with determination to get a tambourine/pick/. As soon as we heard Baba we booked, no one said anything, the guard just looked at us and we were 5 feet away from Mike! I really appreciate that no one was a dick. Then Ed came over with his tambourines -main purpose for the adventure- and it was just surreal. I have never been that close in my life. No tambourine but I imagine thats what winning the lottery would be like. And i only got maybe 2 minutes but it made my day, depending on tonights show, maybe my week.
  • please! anyone? clip of jeremy? anyone? bueller? My god you are all so lucky to be experiencing this. My buddy will be there tonight. I will be on the board no doubt to watch it all unfold! Amazing. Love all the love. Best band in the world hands down.

Was at every Philly show so far and this one was RIDICULOUS!!!!! Crowd was great in sec 214 except the young couple right in front of me who sat the whole show. How you could sit through that is beyond me. Awesome setlist that i still can't comprehend. Deep and Breath were two songs I've been chasing and was sooo stoked to get! Met some cool guys from Long Island in 214 row 16 and 17. You guys rock! Now to bed to do it all over!

I was in 214 row 17 too. I'm still exhauseted from yesterday. That show sucked the life out ot me. I hope they play Brother tonight (I see it was on thr setlist but not played last night).

Oh, and Present Tense may have been the best song of the night.

    They started around 9:05.
I have to say that this it absolutely brings tears to my eyes reading the reviews from last night because I feel the emotion rushing back to me. It definitely was the best show I've seen. Thought I was going to just have a heart attack I was in such awe. Then the song was over and they would start another one that made my heart stop. I know the only words out of my mouth for 30 mins afterthe show were: wow, holy shit, omg. Just over and over.

Met some great ten clubbers before the show too. Finally met SpeedyMcready! see you all again tonight!

Did anyone else know that Crazy Mary was such a rockin' song? It kicked ass!!! Boooooooomm!!!!
  • Wow, it's the day after and I'm still amazed. Setlist was a good mix of crowd favorites and rarities...Deep, In Hiding, Footsteps, holy shit. The best version of RVM I've heard.

Section 214 was pretty cool, I love sitting with other 10 clubbers. What the hell is the band gonna come up with tonight? Can't wait!!! So lucky to live in Philly this week...and the Phillies are in the WS...this might be the best week ever
