my buddy, who was several rows back said "you know eddie can throw a frisbee, why the hell won't he toss some of those tamborines a little farther back? i know he can do it!"

i'm sure its more of the person in the crowd being able to catch it, not whether he is able to throw it farther.

i was thinking the same...he could get one of those up to the mezzanine i bet!!

Nice job rocking out last night, Lizard! I'm glad the ticket went to such a cool person and a real fan! Apparently you can be a cool Dodger fan.
My highlights of the show last night... Tremor Christ, Rats, and Red Mosquito w/ Ben Harper. Pretty freaking amazing. SOLAT was pretty rockin too. I sure wouldn't mind hearing Oceans tonight! (another song I've never heard live)
I'm a little pissed about the merchandise, though. Those PJ/Dodger shirts would be pretty cool if they weren't Dodger-related. It's a good idea, but considering my body will physically reject anything with that filthy Dodger blue, I think I'll wait for my PJ/Giants shirt.
Great crowd last night and a great energy to the show. (Don't you always say that after a PJ show though?) Tonight's gonna be my last PJ show of the year, so let's keep that energy going, LA! See ya tonight!

so a couple memories from last night...hopefully people with less addled brains than me can elaborate

ed drinking from random people's drinks

bringing the kid on stage for solat and trying to get the kid to kneel in front of mike during his solo

ed wearing a usmc t-shirt that a marine heading back to iraq gave him

screwing up the lyrics to tc and atw...i know this pisses some people off but i think it's hilarious

ed talked about going to the doctor recently...the doctor said that he some 'heavy metal' in his head...the crowd applauds and ed asks "really? you're applauding for that?"...then he said that the doctor must have been talking about mike because earlier in the day mike listened to iron maiden for like an hour and a half

Keep checking Ticketmaster. Last night they released a bunch of great tickets to tonight's show. maybe they will continue releasing tickets.

I'm at work, exhausted, stressed, and impatient, yet on a total high still from last night's show.

My 196xxx got me second row orchestra in the center section. Best seats I have ever had for PJ. The band just BROUGHT it. Opening with Why Go/Animal/WWS left no doubt that they meant business and weren't going to leave until they rocked the fuck out of everyone in the theater.

The new songs were great live -- especially Unthought Known and Force of Nature. Gave me a stronger appreciation for them both.

Personal highlights (in addition to the above) were Tremor Christ (fucking beautiful), Present Tense (ditto), Porch (they killed it), and Elderly Woman (I will never get enough of that song live). Also, although I often skip Evenflow on boots, that songs ALWAYS rules in concert.

I don't know what the dude was smoking who said the crowd sucked. I have been to a billion concerts in a billion places and this crowd was GREAT. People were on their feet and singing the entire time, even in the Mezzanine. Ed did his light-reflection-off-his-guitar thing and panned the crowd and everyone was up and going crazy.

It's nice to not have the usual depressed post-show low today. Thank you PJ for giving us 3 more shows in the next week. Can't wait for tonight. I only wish I could have bought more than one pair of 10C tickets.

The only thing a PJ-Giants shirt would be good for would be wiping your ass. :D

I'm thinking a Lakers-themed shirt tonight? The Dodgers one had the number 30 on it, so is it safe to assume that it was a Wednesday-only shirt?

OMG, last night was amazing. The crowd around me was incredible. Our only worry - how can tonight be as amazing as last night? Tremor Christ - I thought I was gonna pass out.

And I loved the kid who got pulled up on stage.

It's because of the way people fight over them when they land... if he just hands them to people there's no brawl going on with 3 people pulling in different directions. I've seen it before - it gets ugly fast.

One of the ladies at a merch table said its going to be Lakers-themed tonight, so I hope she's right!
  • Ten Club really pulled through with tickets. Last night was husband's 401xxx acct, which pulled sect 2 orchestra, row GG! - amazing view! Was not expecting to be that close so I felt like I won the lottery even though I wasnt in a lottery row!

Still grinning from ear to ear over the setlist....hoping for Spin the Black Circle tonight :)

Great fans around us. Lady next to us could have SANG rather than SCREAM every song, but I tried not to let it bug me. I dont mind people singing along...I actually love it, but screaming out of tune above Ed is another story.

Looking forward to another great night tonight!

Had a great time last night. Totally rocked. Thought the crowd was pretty good, especially for LA and a small theatre.

Said to my buddy there were three songs that I wanted, and just getting one would be FUCKING AWESOME. They were my favorite off of Backspacer, Force of Nature, Red Mosquito, and No Way.

So getting two out of three really pushed things over the top.

Rats was sick. Totally funky and awesome, they really nailed it last night.
Insignificance was on a whole nother' level, this was the 2nd time I've seen it, but it was the first time it made me go "What the fuck", how have I been missing that all these years.

Enjoyed Just Breathe and The End tremendously. Perfect setting with the Gibson's acoustics and intimate feel. All of the B.S. stuff is great, although I'm not feeling 'The Fixer' live too much.

    Tremor Christ. Enough said.

Down, SOLAT, and Present Tense were the other's that stood out to me, and contributed to this show being added to the list of the best I've ever seen. Great time, great poster. Can't wait for tonight!

Great show. 5th row center! thank 10c

admittedly a little bummed to head back tonight with "regular" tickets but have a feeling we haven't had the best LA show yet.

It was still a great one and band was on fire!!

Thank you 10C - Orc 1 HH - dead center.
Was quite surprised to hear 'The End' - loved it live more than the studio recording.
Another great friggin' PJ gig - life is good.

  • Thanks for all the reviews everyone! Can't wait for tonight! Getting pumped by watching Immagine in Cornice right now.

Anyone who bought the Dodger shirt have a pic of it? Did it sell out, i.e., should I get there early for the Laker shirt?

    Thanks!
