    Red Wing Blackbirds, thousands in the trees around my house, getting ready to head north.
    You can hear them loudly through closed windows 8-)
    The Cardinals are happy cause the blackbirds can empty the feeders
    in a matter of a couple hours :shock:
    and the red bird is looking lean. Soon babies on the way :D I love the predicability of nature.

    I'm ready for the blackbirds to go bye bye. I have been rudely awaken the last few mornings far earlier than my 2nd shift working butt wants to be awake.

    As you said, soon they will be replaced by the Cardinal (the state bird of my home state!) as well as the mean ol Blue Jay. They look cool, but damn they are mean!
