Seattle Crowds Suck

Just got back from the show in Seattle. Great performance - the boys rocked it

The crowd was dismal. We had awesome seats right beside the stage, lower level - and we were surrounded by a sea of people with their arms crossed or their hands in their pockets.

Now I know we're in hard financial times and that at 8 bucks a beer its hard to have fun at the Key - but seriously folks, after a 5 year drought the welcome PJ got was shit. Boring and pathetic. The energy was gone. Not the first time I have seen Seattle shit the bed when it comes to a rock show.

Disappointing - you should know better.

Oh and BTW if you are going to participate, don't fucking sing soprano to a baritone and dont sing songs you dont know the words to, in fact just dont sing at all- you drunk fuck.

Bullshit

And please don't go to the concert if all you're going to do is bitch.

    Thanks.
  • You know, you just got back from seeing the greatest fucking band on the planet, please stop bitching.

Also, I paid $80 to see that awesome fucking band, so I will sing however I want to.

Hey - Ive done my time (since 92) and i'm a vested fan. I don't bitch - but I do reserve the right to be critical

Tonight's crowd was the worst I can remember. Its Seattle! For Christ sake take your hands out of your pockets! If you can be loudest crowd in the NFL, you can clap your hands and cheer for Pearl Jam... What a bunch of losers!

And seriously, I came to hear Ed sing - I don't mind if you wanna sing, I get it, but you DONT need to try out sing Ed and you DO need to know the words - knowing the words is important.

BTW Johnny Guitar rocks live - and The Fixer is far better as a live song - one of the best of the night.

  • From where I was the crowd was pretty awesome...and even if they don't know the lyrics....maybe they are from somewhere else ... even Eddie doesn't know the lyrics every once in a while ...

Great concert....the best band I have ever seen!!!
Totally worthy flying from Brazil to see them!

we were all to busy to clap because we were trying to figure out how we should sing as to not offend anyone and out-sing Ed. We should have it figured out by tomorrow though so don't worry.

  • you say that it's people from Seattle, but what I noticed i that Seattle shows seem to be 50% Washingtonians and 50% people from out of state...

everyone around us were awesome and into the show.

You think you are the only one who has been around since 92! I am in the crowd on the Even Flow video shot at the Moore Theater in Feb. 92. Relax buddy, everone else had a good time. Why could'nt you?

  • sometimes you get stuck with some shitty people nearby. doesnt mean the whole crowd sucked.

i am dying to hear the new songs live.

Crazy, you ran home pretty quick to bitch about your fellow concert-goers. Or maybe you live in Queen Anne and had nothing better to do post-concert?

Anyway, from my vantage (thanks for the great seats 10C), the crowd rocked, as did the band. And for the record, Eddie fucked up the lyrics tonight way more than my entire section did. So I guess knowing the words isn't that important. Just this loser's opinion.

Europeans are sophisticated.. You ever stand next to one in an elevator? Smells like they haven't showered in weeks!:lol:;);):o:o

  • Thats the million dollar question? They wouldve sold many more beers too.

Also, I agree with Jimnastics, I went to Italy in 06 and the crowd was 234 times better than tonight's.

    Great show though!!
Why the hell couldn't i bring a beer down to my seat?

    Um, what he said...

I've been a fan since 92 as well and a member of the ten club for over 15 years.

Tonight we had excellent seats, hopped and clapped and sang along as much as humanly possible, and had an all-around great time. So great, in fact, that I wasn't really paying attention to the people around me, because Pearl Jam is awesome like that.

Great show. Can't wait til tomorrow!
