at least he used the word 'then' correctly for a change.

i also read those posts and found them distasteful... the guy was saying he had no idea how much a kid actually cost... and he gets told he shouldnt have had the kid? thats pretty fucked up.

If he thinks giving birth to the kid cost a lot...he's got a RUDE awaking over the next 18 years!!

I'm sure he'll take your expert advice to heart.

And now, at the risk of dragging the personal affairs of someone who has recently become a father down to the level of bile and insensitivity that seems to be the fashion on the board at the moment with one or two posters, I suggest we change the subject.

whaaaaat? I thought that we were done paying for the kid after he was born?!?!
Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.

Thanks!!! It is nice to see some civility on this board... for awhile I was thinking I was in the Insane Clown Posse forum instead of Pearl Jam.

Not really sure how my joke was going to hurt him or was insensitive...unless of course you read more into it than is there.

Congrats to the new father! It is a joy and I'm sure you will find that no matter the cost you will feel you it was more than worth it! And, kids actually start to become fun at about 9 mos so I hope you make it through that time frame...and I hope your kid isn't colicky. ;)

In Canada it doesn't cost anything until after the child is born. Then you have to pay through the nose for the hockey equipment. :)
