Easily the 2nd best show I've ver been to (#1 goes to Chicago in 2000 because I got to see them open with Release). Actually, since the opened with another fave of mine, they could easily be 1a and 1b.
I was at both nights, and this night blew Sunday out of the water. I loved them giving Matt a drum solo during Even Flow. I loved Fucking Up. Porch was easily the highlight for me.
It seems like the crowd took Ed saying they "Seem(ed) more like a Sunday night crowd" as a challenge, and from that point on they gave the band back everything that the band tossed up to them.

I'm STILL recovering from the wonderful show/setlist- AMAZING!!! It's going to take me a while to get "back in the groove at home", and I get super sappy when I hear their music that reminds me of 8/23 and 8/24- I really look forward to the next tour they'll perform- hoping for it next year again......Thanks again PJ for such wonderful evenings that will always be remembered!
I feel so refreshed and centered. It was great to get all that feeling out and in such a positive way. I feel wonderful, it was the best money I spent for 4 hours of therapy!! It's hard to stop thinking about the show and good it made me feel!! how good it makes me feel!!
think they'll release the bootlegs for chicago? I hope so, I want to own them shows!!

I didn't get that one. I've heard it a couple times before. Tried to concentrate on new and rare stuff. I also was using HD video except for Dissident and was limited to 12GB of space.

10 Club hooked me up with Section 113 on the aisle last night...incredible seats....I am about 6'4 and was wearing a VEDDER 10 Cubs jersey. Our section was great and the show was incredible......but there were more tools at these two PJ shows than any other I have been to.
Where did you get this jersey? I saw tons of people at the Billy Goat with them on...
WI '98, WI '99 (EV), WI '00, Chgo '00, MO '00, Champaign '03, Chgo '03, WI '03, IN '03, MI '04, Chgo '06:N1 & 2, WI '06, Chgo '07, Chgo '08 (EV:N1), Chgo '09:N1 & 2, Chgo '11 (EV:N1), WI '11:N1 & 2, Philly '12, Wrigley '13, Pitt '13, Buff '13, Detroit '14, MKE '14, Wrigley '16: N1 & N2, Seattle '18 N2, Wrigley '18: N1 & N2, Fenway '18 N1, STL '22, St Paul '23 N2, Chgo '23: N1 & N2, Wrigley '24 N1 & 2
Unreal shows. Night two (sec. 114 row 12 right on the end), great side view of all the stage action, awesome people around us. Black to Real Me and into Porch was euphoric for me, ahhhh I just can't really put into words how sweet these two shows were.
I loved Ed's love for Matt, I'm going to be way off on the quote but something to the effect of "Matt Cameron on drums, that's not a Ford, not a Bentley or BMW, that's a fucking Lamborghini on the drums back there...." Thanks Ten club, Chicago, oh and to the cool couple next to me on Monday, glad we got to share that joint....though I still think the Vikings dominate the Bears this season .
the ten club pre party was so appreciated! what a great bunch of pearl jammers! really disappointed with our seats, #79,xxx, but the song list and the band were extreme!! got a pick!!
I was hoping for a couple of more songs from Vs. since it's my favorite album, but I did like how the guys focused a lot on Vitalogy. A great setlist to say the least.

Went to both nights and then had tickets to the Cubs game on Tuesday night. Who sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the seventh inning stretch? EDDIE VEDDER!!! It was like a dream after two amazing nights of Pearl Jam. A third night of Eddie. Couldn't believe it, but 'twas true!

it felt damn good to see those 2 assholes escorted out of the show.
I don't know, man, but it seemed to us that everyone kind of over-reacted. We were right behind the two chicks, and yeah, maybe they blew some smoke in your direction, but then they put out the joint like you asked and never bothered anyone again. To have them thrown out mid-show just seems pretty shitty to me. You could have used the opportunity to teach your kids a lesson about taking the high road and understanding that sometimes adults do stupid things. I'd much rather be around a few pot smokers than the obnoxious drunk chick who kept leaving her seat for more beer -- and thereby bothering us -- every time a song came on that she didn't recognize, which was pretty damn often.
But that said, my two first experiences at a Chicago show were pretty cool. I don't know if I'd rate them in my Top Five, but they are definitely up there, especially considering the setlist for Night 2. HTI was a sweet surprise, and Brother was a real treat.
Drove down from Winnipeg to bring my son to his first Pearl Jam concert! Even though our 10C seats on Sunday were in the 300's at the back, it didn't matter once the show started and our section got rockin'! In fact, I thought we'd enjoy Monday's show more because our seats from Stub Hub were in the 200's and a lot closer, obviously, but the Monday night crowd around us was pretty lame and frankly, we enjoyed the show in the nosebleeds with the fellow 10C'ers more! So great to hear favourites like State of Love and Trust, All Night, RVM, Brother, Insignificance, Save You, Porch, Man of the Hour, Grievance, Whipping, and on and on. Love, Reign O'er Me was superb! And, being from the 'Peg, it was great to hear Needle and the Damage Done and Fuckin' Up by ol' Neil. By the way, check out Ed rockin' out at the end of Not For You--remind you of anyone? Anyway, a huge Thank You to Pearl Jam and the beautiful city of Chicago and all the friendly local people we met for making this one experience that we will never forget!! Bring on the bootlegs!
If you hate somethin', don't you do it too.

I'm watching Ed in the booth with Len and Bob after the 7th Inning Stretch. His singing was not so great Tuesday night at the game - I think the UC shows left him a little scratchy!
Len Kaspar is a big fan. It's refreshing to hear their banter - just a couple of guys who appreciate what each other does. No pretense, no sucking up, just genuine good vibes.
Ok thoughts from a non-drinker who likes to toke it up at shows when I can. I make a judgement call based on my surroundings on whether or not i'm going to smoke. I was low down in 114 for these shows and although I came armed and dangerous I just never really felt the need to pull it out. However, when I do smoke at shows I realize that (outside of the west coast) it's still very much illegal and offensive to lots of people. If someone asks me to stop smoking around their child, I can assure you i'm not going to argue and it's going to be put right out. I wasn't there and didn't see it so I dunno about this specific situation. Point is this, if you smoke at a show (especially indoors) be conscious of those around you, blow the smoke straight up in the air, and if someone tells you it's bothering them, cut it out. I just didn't really think these shows were very "pot-friendly". If these had been at Alpine Valley...well...that might have been a different story. The last PJ shows I saw were the three in San Francisco in '06 and not only was 99% of the crowd smoking, they had homemade cookies and gummy bears for us to eat after the show! So I can see where someone visiting from the west coast might not know exactly how to handle it in the midwest. I just moved back here and i'm still getting used to it being all on the DL again.
Another night, another mind-blowing show. My seats were great... section 120, row 15 (member #164xxx), which was one section and four rows closer than Monday night's show.
My wife took a few cool videos during the show on our camera. She knows that I give 100% of my energy/attention to the band, so she worked the camera all night. Isn't she the best? I gave her the "take video now" nudge once the first drum beats of In My Tree started (my favorite). She also caught the end of Fuckin' Up when Ed put on a wig thrown on stage by a fan, and Mike's Star-Spangled Banner finish to the night. Enjoy!
Went to Monday night only. All I can say is what an incredible performance and setlist. I am honored to say I was at that show. It had the feel of a real special night. Thanks PJ for your awesomeness!

Yeah, exactly. Just don't go out of your way to make others uncomfortable. That's not cool whether the subject is smoking, drinking, whatever. I don't smoke anymore (weed or cigarettes), but it doesn't bother me and I personally don't care if the whole building smokes up as long as no one is intentionally being an asshole about it by blowing smoke in your face, or in my case a few years ago, on the back of my head.
Or the drunk dude who threw up his nachos all over me at a Metallica concert once. That guy failed to score points with his girlfriend that night.
