bruce springsteen will be the special guest.

it's only right the boss closes out the spectrum with pj. how cool would it be to see bruce and clarence come out and do jungleland with pj during pj's final enocre on halloween.

    This sounds good Metsy !

How about Bruce , full E-Street , full Pearl Jam , knock out a more harder , rocking
" Streets Of Philadelphia " ( or maybe already rockers Muder Inc, Kittys Back , Prove It All Night, Adam Raised A Cane , Badlands , War )

    Sorry about that!

I am agreeing with people who say it might be Springteen.... it does make sense and fitting, too. :)

Cannot wait to read the reviews... can't believe I'm not going to be part of this history but I'll live through your reviews!

Have fun and be good....and do not run through red lights. ;)

but he easily could come out midset,
or even near or at the encores.
( like ed did vfc in nj in 04 )

also - nobody really opens for bruce anymorre,
its hard when the guy plays 3 and half hours nightly.

Yes but Neil wasn't selected as the band that gets to close out the historic Spectrum - apples to oranges as far as the situation goes. I would agree with you 100% if this was ANY other show on this tour, or any other tour. But they've clearly built this tour around the fact that they get to close the building out.

And this could be a very distinct possibility. At the very least, I'd almost guarantee you'll see a unique guest(s) on 10/31.

OK.. Don't flame me over this.. but could we possibly see U2?? I mean, they are in New York for the Hall of Fame gig 10/30 that week.. and the NA leg of 360 Tour ends 10/28.. I fully expect to see Bono and The Edge on stage on 10/31 at the Spectrum.. I don't expect a set from an opening act.. I figure it will be a star studded fairwell show PJ with guests throughout the night... Should be one of those "I was there the night Pearl Jam played Philly and..." moments.
  • U2, or members of, is a possibilty. But something is telling me Soundgarden will be the act, with Jack Irons filling in on the drums for some of the PJ set. I'm happy either way, gonna be a great 4 days!!! :D

  • Hopefully the 10/31 show is just Pearl Jam, and ends up to be the longest Pearl Jam show there's ever been.

May sound like it's expecting a lot, but if you think about the circumstances, it's not.

I said not to flame because of the way many of our fellow ten-clubbers were so nasty over the U2 collab in Australia.. I still say it will be a LOOONNNGGG Pearl Jam set with many, many impromptu surprise guests..

I'll lleave the arena if bono comes out. The edge is cool. I wouldn't be so shocked to see bruce springsteen or the dead be the special gues for the 31st. Both bruce and the dead have huge ties to the spectrum.
