Well, I've been getting way over them lately and this, along with the PJ20 gig which is sure to be as far away from here as possible, and the rumored Canadian tour, again as far away as possible, may have just been the excuse I needed.
Why in the hell should I be so loyal to a band/person who obviously holds a large portion of their fanbase in such contempt? They have had plenty of experience at driving away fans. I see the trend continues.

I mean if Chris Cornell can start his acoustic songbook tour with dates in Austin and Houston that sold out within minutes (yea, that's right, minutes) of going on sale... what the fuck is eddie's problem...

I really do have a life, and it will continue with or without seeing the band. 2 of the shows I have been to cost me less than a grand, Denver (7 hour drive) and Salt Lake City (2 hours away). The rest of them could have went to something that makes more sense... my kids' schooling, my self, my IRA...
I think my money is better spent on high end mtn bikes So no more, Seattle, Los Angeles, Hawaii... (maybe)
I'll just travel where the fuck I want and not worry about tying in a PJ experience when I go.
I'm headed Deep South for my honeymoon and we were hoping to catch a show or two while we're over... looks like it won't be PJ or Ed, that's for sure :(

Not surprised. Not even really mad. Just . . . . disappointed. And just feeling kind of done with the whole thing now. Enough is enough. People keep saying don't take it personal, but after 8 years, I am sorry. It is becoming personal. For one of the largest metro areas in the nation to just be continuously ignored is just . . . I don't know. I am just very disappointed.
