Thank you, but I don't think I should be commended. I guess I'm old-school, as I wish scalping (reselling for profit) was still illegal. Anyone who says it's ok for people to scalp, all I can say is that none of you really have any right to complain if you can't get tickets for events (particularly thru TM) because the scalping that you are defending (which the band has stood against) is the reason TM sells out even faster than natural demand creates.

but i dont think this is real scalping, hey bought the ticket with the intention to go

I think this definition would fit "real" scalping:

    Scalping:
Attempt to take maximum financial benefit of the scarcity of an item (such as tickets to a sellout show) by hoarding it.

I wouldn't make that assumption about intention, so I will stay out of that, though ANYONE buying a front row ticket would know they could make a ton of money if they decided to sell it.

Hoarder definition: One who hoards; one who accumulates, collects, and stores; To amass, usually for one's personal collection

When you sell a ticket for above face value, isn't that everyone's common definition of scalping?

This spring I saw Row CCC for EV in Baltimore on TM. I had the natural thought that many people would, that I could buy this pair of tickets, and upgrade my balcony seats, and if I could not sell my balcony seats, then I could sell the Row CCC for a profit. ...but then ethics kicked in, and I let them sell to the next person on TM, who was hopefully not a scalper, but a fan.

No time to clean up this thread so it'll just be closed for now. We do not support scalping or links to scalping. Please do not post links or directions to scalpers. Face value only here. Anything over face is scalping.
