wow. im guessing thats just a tad over face value, eh? thats pretty bad.

but just wondering -- i was always under the impression that ten club got the front row? or does ticketmaster get some of those too.

There must be an odd # of seats in the front row and since 10c only sells pairs that leaves a single available for TM sale.

I had a third row for San Diego... same deal I think, odd number of seats in the row.

I had the opportunity to buy third row EV tickets on TM... and I easily could have scalped them. Did I buy them? Nope... I wanted a fan to get them who would use them. This is fucked up that he's fucking scalping it... for 220% markup. I mean, fuck.

    busted.

Its his ticket and he can do whatever he wants, so I dont really care. Just because he asks for 1700 doesnt mean hes gonna get it.
  • It's more like a 2000% markup. ;)

It is his property and he can do with it as he pleases... just like someone who buys the last carton of milk during a natural disaster can charge $1,000 for it for a mother who wants it. :)

...but seriously, PJ fought hard for US to get fair access to tickets at a fair price, going in front of congress, etc to keep scalpers and TM out... and this guy is going 100% against the spirit of that. I used to have a job that I could have made 10's of thousands of dollars with the access I had to tickets, so this guy's behavior is pretty offensive to me. Whether anyone else is offended is their choice.

And for the record, I actually don't care that much that Mitch is selling this. Hope he gets market value.

Just has to understand that Ten Club fans go crazy about this shit. Don't run around preaching and soliciting advise, and then turn around with a big FU and go for the money.

At least change your ebay user name.:lol::lol:

Who cares what someone does with THERE ticket. Its sicking to see many people rat other people out on here. You do nothing but bring this community down. Wow he has a buy it now of $1700. will he get it probably not. But if he does he just got 1700 bucks richer. I should buy ticketmaster tix and put em up on ebay just to fuck with you kissass's of the board.

You must mean "THEIR" ticket, and that it's "sickening". What brings the community down are people like mitchmoose2. This community practices what they preach most of the time in terms of getting good seats into the hands of good fans at good prices, and clearly he does not believe in helping each other out like this.

Yeah, but many people do care. Just cause you don't or I don't, doesn't mean that you shouldn't be smart about this behavior.

The band is against it in principle as are a lot of people.

So sell the shit out of your TicketMaster extras, but don't come on here asking for help about how to make it to the show, promote how awesome your ticket is, suggest on a another thread that selling above face is frowned up, THEN sell that same ticket at WAY above face under the exact same user name.

Of course there is going to be a shit storm. That is human nature.

For me I just get a kick out of that type of lack of thought.

Sell it on the Down low and don't advertise said ticket on this board prior to said sale. ;)

I've had tickets worth thousands of dollars and sold them for face-and-fees.

Of all the bands in the world, to scalp PJ tickets is so counter to what they specifically stand for. I think it's a very relevant topic, and not out of nowhere.

For every ticket that is scalped is another fan who is overcharged because the ticket sold to a scalper first.

Yet trying to get $1,700 for one single ticket to one night is not?

I think all bands raised their prices on tickets because piracy of their recorded music is rampant... and live venues are the only place they can make up for that. But they aren't asking $77 times 220%. There's a huge difference. Do you agree or disagree?

It is funny the holier than thou attitude here as the band has been drifting away from this for some time. PJ ticket prices have gone up WAY more than simple inflation. That's a fact Jack.

Of course, selling this ticket for that amount is obscene...I hope he gets shut out of 10C ticket in the future (not banned, just misses out) and has to scalp tickets for the rest of his life.

By $668, I'm assuming you mean for a pair for each night. That's an average of $83.50 per ticket per show. I'd hardly call that gouging the fans. Also, if you're against Pearl Jam overcharging, how does that legitimize someone else's overcharging? It's too fitting not to quote here - if you hate something, don't you do it too. Not to mention - Pearl Jam made nine great albums to get to where they are today - what has this scalper done to deserve the right to charge $1700, and make around $1600, when Pearl Jam will make less than $100 for that same ticket?

Course 1700 bucks isn't right. this is what happens when you live in a captilist society like we americans. No band is ever worth $1700 for a single ticket or $668 for 4 nights.

Probably has to make up for the $ he is spending traveling to see PJ on the West Coast since he never thought they'd announce a show in SLC. PJ has brought this on themselves. ;)
