I'll put it this way...they are the only band I shell out money for (fan club money, CD purchases, concert tickets) each and every year, which at 37 is not normal according to my family. My sister says I am immature for still belonging to a fan club for a band nearing twenty years since I became a fan. (Mozart doesn't have a fan club...)

Don't feel bad. I am 43 and am taking the whole family on tour with me to the West Coast shows (from NYC). Taking my 2 boys to their first shows whilst my wife, who is not a fan, sits poolside. She does not get my passion but lets me be me. Also a big Mozart guy and have tickets to the opera every year. :)

Before I met her I got to tour with The Grateful Dead for a while and have seen them the most. I loved them but not as far as recorded works like PJ. Their concerts were the real deal.

Heh -- I would argue that Mozart fans can spend as much, if not more, money than PJ fans do. Symphony tickets and recordings of all of those performances of one's favorite works can add up, you know. And they might call it "season tickets to the New York Philharmonic," but we know it's membership in a fan club. 8-)
    You are correct!!!!!!!
Been a fan of Mozart longer...so I guess it is really a tie...
