this is an endless debate, with no right answer, unless you add a front row that has 2,000 seats
the current system gives everyone a chance to be up front, and rewards long time members-its a great compromise
As far as seniority seating goes, I had to sit farther away from the stage and pay my dues for years, so should everyone else.
The current system is fine and a LOT better than the mail order, one show per tour block seating way of doing things.0 -
with all that being said.................... my wife and i will gladly bring our 'front row' energy and give up my benaroya vinyl and my 2 10c tix (28xxxx) for anyone's 2 front row seats in TORONTO .....anyone?????????Montreal 2003. Halifax 2005. EV Montreal 2008. Toronto 2009
Toronto 2011 1 & 2 London 2013. Quebec City 2016. Ottawa 2016

seeing Pj is an experience never to be forgotten. up front, 2nd row, 3rd row, 20 th row, in the stands, you still see and here what you came there for. get the frak over it, build a bridge, or jst dont go, and let newer people get the chance to see em up personal. If you're like me, you get lost in the moment, in their sounds, where you sit is irrelevant and selfish to even say somthing.
Strewth, for so many fans, there are a lot of ungratefull selfish pieces of work out there!! be happy that you get to witness this beloved band of ours again abd again. quit the negativity, and focus on the music you love and that you will hear whereve yoyu sit. bring binaulars for christ sake.0 -
My member # is 292xxx and I don't think there could be a more fair way of ticket distribution than they have right now. One change I would consider would be maybe 1 or 2 shows on a tour (of a city that has 2 nights) they could do a full lottery, but I'm certainly not complaining that they don't.0

People can ask around this board i have a very low # and you will find out that every tour that i can score tickets too i allways share my extra and if i travel to your state i pick someone from that state to share my extra ,i don't see how anyone can say that we the senior members don't share i allways do ,even people on this thread now that .... ...jesus greets me looks just like me ....0

Pearl Jam is about the energy they create. Giving those people who might never dream of being in front creates even more energy than those who are so used to being there.
no truer words spoken.
expanding the number of seats in the lottery would undoubtedly bring such unprecedented enthusiasm,
sheer excitement and so much unexpected, unadulterated, genuine joy to so many more members
of the self-proclaimed "jamily" that we all claim to be a part of.
why not give more fans a real chance to
have that mind blowing experience?
there's absolutely nothing wrong with that no matter how you dissect it, at least in my opinion.Nice shirt.0 -
There shouldn't even be a debate to begin with. The seniority has been in place for 18 years now. Its not like there hidding anything from us. If you don't like it then shut the fuck up and don't renew. I'm 23 and have never ever sat on the floor for any of the 6 pj concerts that I've gone to. do I go around bitching bout it and acting like a 5 year old, nope. My #10c is 426,xxx and that will probably land me behind the stage or some very high up wing seats or if I'm lucky maybe the lottery. I don't care where I sit cause at least ill be there. I'd rather sit with the "frat fans" then some of you holier then thou people. Least they know how to have a good time and don't bitch bout seeing evenflow for the 30th time and not getting a "rare" song.Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

I agree it doesn't matter when you got in the 10c it doesn't mean your any less of a fan lottery is best for all. I mean think of the younger fans too they get shit seats because when pearl jam's first album dropped they were wiping placenta off of their face.0

The way the system is now works perfectly fine in my opinion. My number is not great, 318xxx, so I don't get great seats, but I get decent seats without fighting the scalpers on ticketmaster. I was a fan from the beginning, but I failed to join the fanclub until 2003. I have no problem with those that paid their dues having better seats. Check some other fanclubs that offer fanclub tickets and you could end up with seats in the upper deck and pay higher dues, I have yet to hear of Ten Club tickets being that bad. Ten Club fights to get us most of the best seats in the house, and yet some still want more.
Let us not forget without the support of the loyal fans with seniority in the fanclub you might not have anything to complain about. If they didn't pay their dues and support the band we may not have a Ten Club offering us tickets. Don't they deserve something....If there were no Angels would there be no sin?0 -

I'm what you may consider 'old'. I am not a geriatric cripple... age has nothing to do with 'energy'.

I love it how people think they know what or how EV is thinking or feeling as a performer. :P
At 46 do I fall into the old people catagory? I still have energy and rock the hell out at shows, back of the venue or front row.

Walkers are great for GA.. Get to the front, put your walker 'the other way around' and presto... you have yourself a little protection all around you, you're not crushed and you have your own personal space to rock out!Post edited by redrock on0 -

No animal. I´m going to see them at seattle for the first time. Explain to me what a crappy TC seat would be like.IN THE DARK, ALL CATS ARE BLACK.0

40th row on the floor,...
Not everyone can sit dead center in the first row. So the term "crappy seats" is all relative. Certainly, ALL Ten Club seats are better than just about anything you will get from the general ticket sale through Ticketmaster. So relative to that, all Ticketmaster seats are "crappy" and all Ten Club tickets are pretty damn good! But, when just compared to only Ten Club tickets, some are obviously going to be better than others.0 -

That´s logical. I´ve read some posts about bad TC seats so it just made me wonder. Crappy for me would be upper level way back. I´ve been to concerts standing on the floor far behind, that´s not crappy for me. I had a blast! But travelling from guatemala and get upper level seats or behind the stage would suck. I´m going to see them at LA too, but I believe there are no crappy seats in that place!
