what do you really expect for the 1st opener? that's all most support acts get anyway, maybe 45 min. but it's already gonna be a pretty full night of music.

he's doing a full national tour in September.

A Sept tour for Aus, maybe. I dunno, it's not like PJ choose poor warm up acts who the crowd are gonna boo offstage, and with gates opening before 5pm there's plenty of time.

I remember on Feb 14 2003 in Sydney, Betchadupa were playing support for Pearl Jam. Ed came out during their set and played a killer version of "History Never Repeats". I'm pretty sure Liam Finn was lead singer for Betchadupa. What a night !

I saw the Sydney gig that year (March 9) and the support act was called "Shudder to Think". The crowd was booing the whole time. They made the crowd give them a down under fuck you (Sticking up your middle finger but upside down) to get off the stage. Funny shit.

I've been extremely lucky with the opening acts: Frank Black, Johnny Marr, Kings of Leon and Ben Harper.

I'd pay to see each of those on their own.
