Wife had a car accident today, the back totally smashed. We think she was at fault.

Rang the insurance company, get told that insurance policy was cancelled last month due to some bullshit with my credit card, no idea. So we were effectively uninsured.

Details taken to the 'claims consideration' panel.

yeah but i know for a fact that may not be the case. most bars and clubs will advertise there actual liquor license hours as their open hours but it is never always their actual open hours. we would always have trouble at closing time cause some drunk can read on the door that our open hours were til 2.30, but that is just the time where were actually allowed to trade to if we wanted to.

the main bar at the sunny bank would always close early, the pokie room would stay open a bit later, but it is fucking tiny, you wouldn't be able to fit many people in there if the main bar is shut.

I'm sure if there was enough people interested in going and we called and informed them that we would have a group coming after the gig, that they would consider staying open...but you're right that the main bar needs to be open. I'm just thinking about where people can actually get too that isn't going to take an hour

I think you'll find the insurance company will still pay out. At least in New Zealand, assuming they believe you had the intention of paying, they would likely reinstate your cover. If it was simply an error with your CC, that would almost certainly be the case.

Crikey!! Not the ideal start to a Wednesday (or any day for that matter!) Hopefully things will swing in your favour at the claims court.

Its great that no-one was hurt though. Cars can be replaced, people can't.
They can't just cancel your insurance without sending you a 30 day letter first, to at least give you the chance to fix up the drama.

Howdy all.

$100 dollar flights from Christchurch to Sydney with jetstar. The Emirates ones are gone.

wotif have got some good deals on accomodation now as well.

I booked the formula 1 for Auckland for the two nights. That was $45 a night. Got a nicer place in Christchurch and we're staying there until the 2nd of dec.

I'm all set for NZ!!! Now I'll check the bank balance and see if I can do Perth and Melbourne!!
