This is the most interesting thread in a long time. Isn't it a bitch when you post something you shouldn't only to be quoted before you delete your post?
Thats happened to me a few times.

I talked to the tenclub and everything is cool. They explained some technical stuff that I still don't understand, but I guess for me it was a fluke thing. Sorry to tenclub for posting their email and starting this message without getting their response first. If I had known there was a number I would have called first. Thanks everyone for the info and beyond.

Cool, glad to hear (a) that you were able to straighten it out, and (b) that 10C is watching this sort of thing but was also willing to listen.

Good to hear they worked everything out with you!
...and it's good to know their response if they feel you got tickets improperly.
Can you explain a little of what they accused you of doing? Even in basic terms?
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

well, this has been an interesting thread to read thus far, where does one even start?! here goes,...
was the 10C Goods section hacked? no, it wasn't. it's clear that a certain number of people (mind you, i'm not suggesting the OP is one of them) tried to eliminate as much time as possible off their purchase process by skipping the wait time for the ticket icon to appear, by way of using the URL with the corresponding SKU. mind you, these SKU numbers aren't difficult to figure out, at least they weren't in the past (Santos has likely learned his lesson for future sales). let me quote Benjs demonstrating said process:
A word of advice, be careful doing that. I remember a few years ago someone got booted or severely warned for doing something similar trying to get the jump on poster sales like that.
But it does make it seem promising there will be fan club tix for Philly 3 when its announced.
Really? Thanks for the warning... I didn't think I was doing anything wrong, but I could see why it could be frowned upon.
i honestly don't know what Benjs was thinking even disclosing said info, and obviously he thought better of it because i see he edited his post to remove all evidence (too slow, though). i'm not suggesting he intended for others to attempt this risky procedure for the next sale, but suggesting you found a hidden URL will likely piss off Santos and 10C more so, because they obviously don't care much for self-promoters, j/k
it goes without saying when tickets go on sale it's every man/woman/child for himself out there, and everyone's looking for an edge. it's one thing to encourage people to bypass a step in the process by directing the browser to the secure.pearljam.com page while trying to purchase tickets, and it's quite another to take it one step further by anticipating the new URL for the new ticket icon that's about to appear by way of a little investigative work. was it wrong to do so? depends on who you ask, since those that got caught probably thought they had the tickets in hand and did nothing wrong.
having said that, if the inventory wasn't available how did these members complete the checkout process? it's one thing to punish those who could anticipate a potential URL, which likely caught Santos' attention when he reviewed the log for the order times and noticed orders completing way too quickly for his liking, but should their tickets be voided and refunded for anticipating a URL or was the site actually hacked? was inventory sold prior to the actual sale time?

looks like the OP is in the clear, nicely done. still, some further elaboration for Santos would be appreciated,...

The exact same thing happened to me for LA1. I don't get all of theories on how OP could have "hacked" or "cheated." I'm lost on all of that talk. Here's my sad tale:
At 9:45 I log on, read some forum, and browse the goods. At 9:55 I go to tickets, nothing is there. I look at some shirts, check out the order for the new album, make sure I have my credit card, etc.
At about 9:58 I go to tickets, nothing there. I refresh and get booted back to Goods. I click on tickets and the show is there. I scroll down and the "buy" button is there. I press buy, go through checkout, jump for joy, call my buddy who (was going) to go with me and share the good news. I got my "confirmation" email at 9:59, so there's no doubt I hit "buy" before 10.
A few hours later I get the same email as OP.
I reply, plead my case and get "Hi, Purchases made before 10am have been voided and refunded.
10c"
I have a call into 10C that has been returned yet. Anyway, in answering the original question, yes.

Wow. So TC is putting the shows up for sale just like a minute early, and they punish you for buying it. This is silly.

There has to be more to this....
I would think if %99.9 us saw the buy button at 9:59, we would click "buy" as fast as possible and checkout....

Agreed. If you can purchase tickets by legitimate means before the published time, you shouldn't be penalised for that. What is the lesson? Next time, wait a couple of minutes before you press "buy"? Oops! All sold out. That is not right.
It’s like going to your favorite store that normally opens at ten. Only on this day, they open the doors at 9:58. You go to the counter, buy something nice, pay for it and leave.
Couple of hours later, your favorite store calls you, tells you that your purchase has been voided and you have to return the goods.
The kicker is your favorite store informs you that if you ever come in the store and buy something that way again, which going through the front door when it’s open and transacting business that they offer, then you’ll no longer be welcome to shop at that store again.

Yea, they should have their clock listed on the site or something. Because obviuosly you have to go by theirs

CORRECT.
Better yet.... the item you purchased is a Benaroya vinyl, and you cannot buy it anywhere else without paying hundreds more for it, but still, they yank it out of your hands with a stink-eye look at you.
Before you delete your music and quit the TC, remember this isn't the band. It's the people who run the TC. Though given carte blanche by the band.

clearly 10C thought there was something shady going on. perhaps it was a glitch in there system because I have never heard this before. it's obvious that they do not want to say too much because they do not want to give people ideas. I dont think any of the things people in this thread have admitted to using as shortcuts are anything they would get riled up about.
if the Buy button is there and that button adds a pair of tickets to your cart, they are for sale, regardless of what the clock says. like I said before, on page 3 or 4, the only way someone should be stripped of their tickets/membership is if they cracked the system and found a way to secure tickets before they went on sale. I dont know how that works, but maybe some people do. otherwise, if they went through the normal process of tickets page->buy button->checkout, I dont see the sale registering at 9:59 as being the issue.
let's just hope no innocent fans are harmed in the making of this pre-sale.

Good luck. I'm sure that they'll sort it out for you.
Dang. The sequel's never as good. You always know what's going to happen.

Cool, glad to hear (a) that you were able to straighten it out, and (b) that 10C is watching this sort of thing but was also willing to listen.
as for this thread...Shut it down.

Good to hear they worked everything out with you!
...and it's good to know their response if they feel you got tickets improperly.
Can you explain a little of what they accused you of doing? Even in basic terms?

was the 10C Goods section hacked? no, it wasn't. it's clear that a certain number of people (mind you, i'm not suggesting the OP is one of them) tried to eliminate as much time as possible off their purchase process by skipping the wait time for the ticket icon to appear, by way of using the URL with the corresponding SKU. mind you, these SKU numbers aren't difficult to figure out, at least they weren't in the past (Santos has likely learned his lesson for future sales). let me quote Benjs demonstrating said process:
i honestly don't know what Benjs was thinking even disclosing said info, and obviously he thought better of it because i see he edited his post to remove all evidence (too slow, though). i'm not suggesting he intended for others to attempt this risky procedure for the next sale, but suggesting you found a hidden URL will likely piss off Santos and 10C more so, because they obviously don't care much for self-promoters, j/k
it goes without saying when tickets go on sale it's every man/woman/child for himself out there, and everyone's looking for an edge. it's one thing to encourage people to bypass a step in the process by directing the browser to the secure.pearljam.com page while trying to purchase tickets, and it's quite another to take it one step further by anticipating the new URL for the new ticket icon that's about to appear by way of a little investigative work. was it wrong to do so? depends on who you ask, since those that got caught probably thought they had the tickets in hand and did nothing wrong.
having said that, if the inventory wasn't available how did these members complete the checkout process? it's one thing to punish those who could anticipate a potential URL, which likely caught Santos' attention when he reviewed the log for the order times and noticed orders completing way too quickly for his liking, but should their tickets be voided and refunded for anticipating a URL or was the site actually hacked? was inventory sold prior to the actual sale time?
Santos, care to elaborate?
EDIT:
looks like the OP is in the clear, nicely done. still, some further elaboration for Santos would be appreciated,...

Seriously, I thought about deleting Pearl Jam from my iPod and quitting 10 Club. Not very long, mind you, but I did think it.

Though given carte blanche by the band.

if the Buy button is there and that button adds a pair of tickets to your cart, they are for sale, regardless of what the clock says. like I said before, on page 3 or 4, the only way someone should be stripped of their tickets/membership is if they cracked the system and found a way to secure tickets before they went on sale. I dont know how that works, but maybe some people do. otherwise, if they went through the normal process of tickets page->buy button->checkout, I dont see the sale registering at 9:59 as being the issue.
let's just hope no innocent fans are harmed in the making of this pre-sale.
