Interesting post! At one of the onsales (Either LA 3 or SD) when I clicked on the ticket icon for that particular show and then the Buy button I got a message saying that the item had not yet gone on sale.Did this happen to anyone else? I immediately refreshed and was able to purchase the tickets.
That happened to me a number of times with Philly #2 yesterday. Definitely after the on-sale time too.

just once for me on philly 2. the first time i got the icon, it said no longer for sale or something. the next time i got it, the purchase was successful, but it took a while and a couple of disconnections before the order went through. my email confirmation says 3:06.
If nothing is everything, I'll have it all

Sorry, meant the tickets frame page, versus the non framed page. I often open a multi-framed website in a way to remove the frame.

Sorry, I misinterpreted what you were saying. I'd say you're fine without doing it with the Goods section in the frame, but what I meant was that, for example, if the site ends with /7989, and you change it to /7990, which is a different SKU and has yet to go on-sale, even if /7990 has a "Buy" button, I'd say that's probably going to be a problem with 10C.

    It's cool - I misspoke. :)

That's one of my questions. If you directly address the link, is that ok? For example, lets say I open a new tab for the tickets section without a frame. No biggie, right? Then when they list it for sale, I click on the link.... but it says Temporarily Out Of Stock. Can I hit refresh? Isn't hitting refresh the same as direct typing the /7990 url?

I guess this was your "trick" up until now too. Do you enjoy accusing people of things? WTF?

I'm not accusing. If you don't do it, then why would you worry? It's a logical deduction.

To answer your question, no it's not my "trick". I live in NZ, and haven't bought tickets since the 06 Australia tour (not high demand). I haven't had to use a "trick" so far. Hopefully one day I will need it, and now I know it! :) I may have even figured out a better trick because of this discussion!

I'm only asking Santos to answer whether or not its ok. I remove framed websites all the time to avoid the annoying frame and reload time. I don't think it gives any advantage to access to the Buy button. My single and only question is for Santos to let us know whether or not it's ok to hit the Buy button if we see it.

I imagine there's a way to add things to a cart before the Buy button is listed. That's not what I'm interested in doing. Just want to know if using the Buy button is always ok.

Like I said earlier, I'm sure it is. Otherwise people wouldn't have got the message about tickets not being available for sale yet once they'd clicked BUY (i.e. a mismatch between when the BUY button appears and when the server allows ticket purchases). I guess only Santos can give us a definitive answer, but I doubt that's what the OP did.

In any case, if you did it after you saw the ticket link on the ticket page then it doesn't matter how you get there, the tickets are on sale so go for it.

Just to clarify I don't know anything about hacking or backdoor stuff. If I did, I wouldn't be here asking if it happened to anyone else trying to get my membership revoked for hacking the site and then complaining about them not letting me hack into their site to buy tickets. I was just refreshing and clicking tickets like I've always done and have never had any trouble getting San Diego tickets in the past. I received my order receipt confirmation after 10am in my email. Then later I got the email saying I bought them too early. I don't have any other information to offer. I just know I'll be clicking away on ticketmaster.

Thanks for the messages. I will call them. I didn't even know they had a number.

All we can hope is that an honest person using the BUY button didn't just get screwed out of their deserved tickets.

If you did use backdoor trick that bypassed the BUY button, tisk tisk tisk.

If you clicked the BUY button like everyone else, then I hope you get your tickets back.

Why is everyone assuming the OP is in the wrong? Just because one member posts a conspiracy theory about "hacking the system" everyone assumes this is what the OP did? Jesus, I'm not sure how anybody can know what actually happened... it sure seems strange that the 10C canceled his tickets after saying they wouldn't.
