well, I'm sure the tickets dont go up manually, the 10C system just puts them up when the clock hits the designated time (I hope). so, if that's the case, the only way to buy tickets at 9:59 would be if the buyer cracks the system somehow. maybe I'm playing devil's advocate, maybe I'm just hoping this is the case because I would hate to see an innocent member lose his tickets.
+1
there ya go. thanks SLH, that should make everyone relax. in that case, I dont blame 10C for canceling his order or even taking away his membership. theyre just looking out for the rest of the buyers who are trying to buy without cheating.
Here's the thing...
WHAT IS "CRACKING THE SYSTEM"?
Is opening the "Tickets" section in it's own browser considered cracking?
Is addressing the item directly in the browser considered cracking? My question above stands.... If we see the BUY button, can we click it? Yes or No or Maybe?

not sure if anyone else had this issue during Philly 2 yesterday, but once the BUY button came up, I clicked it and it spit me back to the main page (with the Backspacer pr-orders on it) and said something like "this item is not for sale," and this was several minutes after the on-sale time.

The answer to your question is yes. You can always click a "buy" button. We don't know exactly what this guy did -- but from Santos' words and actions, I strongly assume it was finding a backdoor to the tickets before the "Buy" button showed up on the Tickets page.

Completely weird.
I never know what the exact time is. As soon as I see the buy button I click it! Doesn't everyone?

To me, it's not. It means doing something you shouldn't be doing to gain some kind of advantage.
If you're on the main Tickets page like you're supposed to be and see "Buy," you're golden.
Do you mean the main Tickets page? What if you hand address the individual item's url and see "Buy"?
I think that would be considered a no-no, though I'm not sure. You could probably PM the OP, on the off chance he/she responds, and ask about what they specifically did to get them this strict warning.

What say YOU Santos?
...and if SLC says "+1" to this post, I will be thoroughly confused. If I see the "Buy" button, can I click it and be ok?
I would say though, if you can see it and click it and buy it you are OK. What makes me say this? Well, considering some people saw the Buy button and couldn't add the tickets to their cart because they weren't on sale yet means they have some protection in place to stop early buying. I'm guessing the OP used a trick to bypass this test, i.e. directly loading the item into their cart or something.
If you navigate to a buy button in any other way than the way you are supposed to, then NO, you are not supposed to click the BUY button. And it seems to me that would be the only way it would show up, via a back door. But If the buy button did show up before the allotted time by using the conventional way, then it would be the 10 clubs fault.

Sorry, meant the tickets frame page, versus the non framed page. I often open a multi-framed website in a way to remove the frame.
Sorry, I misinterpreted what you were saying. I'd say you're fine without doing it with the Goods section in the frame, but what I meant was that, for example, if the site ends with /7989, and you change it to /7990, which is a different SKU and has yet to go on-sale, even if /7990 has a "Buy" button, I'd say that's probably going to be a problem with 10C.

You can probably add items to your cart without a buy button though, if you know how. I guess this would be OK as long as it's after the sale time.
Interesting post! At one of the onsales (Either LA 3 or SD) when I clicked on the ticket icon for that particular show and then the Buy button I got a message saying that the item had not yet gone on sale.Did this happen to anyone else? I immediately refreshed and was able to purchase the tickets.
That happened to me a number of times with Philly #2 yesterday. Definitely after the on-sale time too.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a straight answer? The OP of this topic got his tickets yanked, and it would be nice to know if opening in a new frame, or directly addressing a url to the item is ok... I find my computer doesn't load multiple frames well, so I often open a new tab with the inner portion of a frame.

To answer your question, no it's not my "trick". I live in NZ, and haven't bought tickets since the 06 Australia tour (not high demand). I haven't had to use a "trick" so far. Hopefully one day I will need it, and now I know it! I may have even figured out a better trick because of this discussion!

I am just pointing out that this is your understanding (and my assumption too) and others are saying probably not.
