Mercy, you can tell I'm ready for the show when I'm scouting out possible beers for the pre party.

Can anyone tell me about the Riverwest Stein? In Madison, I've only had Lakefront beers out of the bottle. Looking forward to it on draft....

Not a good one either though. ;)

High standards indeed. Do you want JC himself to pour it for you?

Kidding of course, it seems like the standard Irish Bar taps. But, 17 taps isn't bad. A little bit for everyone........

Found this in the FAQ section of the venue website. Anyone that's been there know if this means the kind of "drink" I hope it means?

    "Are refreshments offered?"
Water fountains are located on all levels of the theater. Refreshments are sold during intermission and prior to the performance. And yes, you can bring your drink into the theater!

The served beer when I saw Oasis there a couple years ago.

Thanks. I would LOVE to hear Millworker. I grew up with hippie parents who love the James Taylor...and I have grown to like some of his stuff. That song is great.

Some fantastic stuff on there. I can't wait. Makes me wish I could have found the time and $$ to go see the whole band play. Wish they would have come a bit closer to the Sconnie.

Would love to hear about the show in 91 at Madison. The Oscar Meyer Theatre, correct? Is that venue still around? I live in Madison and I assume the name has changed. I think I heard it used to be where the Overture Center is. Sure wish Vedder would play Madison at the Overture Center...

The number of taps mean nothing when they pour mostly piss water out of them. ;)

But like I said, I do slum it from time ot time on the beer trail too...and I will look to try a coupe of the local beers if I make it so all is well...I'm not criticizing the pick by any means...it looks like a good choice.

The link I posted is very helpful. Lists places to park all over Milw downtown. In this situation, the pub is listed westown and the theatre is listed east town. But, the river is what seperates the two sections. I think it would make sense to park on the east section close to the Riverside and walk to the pub. This way, after the show, one doesn't have far to walk at night.

Of course, you could find a meter on the street and then park in a garage and get a better rate. That is, if they have an after 5pm (ex) rate.

I think you could post the link listed in your first post. Though, I think I posted the west section. You might want to post the entire downtown area.

You certainly brew piss water there...http://www.millercoors.com

Anyhow, I'm just playing around...while I am a beer snob, I still drink Miller Lite, etc from time to time. :)
