We know it was a tactical wicket to lull us into a false sense of security and give us hope.

We are masters of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

Oh, it was forgivable, Swan bowled and it came flying back past him, he took it at full stretch but it was just too hard and bounced back out.

Now I never thought I would say this, and I never ever ever want to say this ever again, but...

Well done England, they outplayed us. Even with those controversial decisions, though it would be interesting to see how it would of panned out. Well done Johnson, if Only Clarke hung with him. And well done Flintoff and Swan. Beautiful ball that got Clarke out. As a former off spinner myself 8-) awesome flight and turn, textbook.

We are going to have to win this series the hard way.

I never played cricket, and I regret it mostly because of this.
It's a sport of gentlemen, and honour, and respect, not to mention incredible skill and tactics, and nerve...not forgetting the rock hard balls !

My one over of cricket at school was bowled to Alec and Graeme Swann, they are local boys. I got pumped for 26 (including 4 wides), it looked like this 3 4 4 W 4 W 4 W 3, Graeme hit me for 19. That is why it was my only over of school cricket. Mind you, I was brought on as a last resort as they made about 200 in a twenty overs a side game. Then the brothers bowled us out for 42.

The series really needed England to go ahead to make it interesting. if the Aussies had won at Lords it would have left us too much to do with three tests to go. It's all set up now for a great series.

And, well done to the selectors for sticking with the team from Cardiff (mostly) but Bopara must go now. I feared for him on that very first morning in Cardiff, he looks like Ian Bell in 2005 (without the fielding ablilities) and once the Aussies have the measure of you and you are a bit fragile, you are fucked.
we're all going to the same place...

Three rained off test matches and we reclaim the Ashes. And everyone involved in the first two tests gets a knighthood from the Queen.

A great day getting to stumps only 2 down. You have to think that we've got enough batting to come to build a decent lead.

I'm on top of the world. A draw has never been so good in test cricket. Apart from one of the tests in 2005.

Never seen Clarkey bat so well.
