So, is it safe to assume that in the cities he's playing two nights, that the different bands are playing on different nights? I saw the show at the end of April in L.A. and it was strictly the girls who were amazing. I have tickets right now for the 2nd night in L.A. at the end of the month and I'm considering trying to trade to go both nights.

Just wanted to add that both nights at The Ryman were AMAZING! Anyone else seeing a show on the rest of his tour, you're in for a damn good show no matter what band you get. First night was a 2 hour set with the set and encore being an hour long each with the males, and they brought it...wow. The 2nd night was the girls and they are fantastic. Jack seems to like playing with them more since I liked that show better even though it was only 1 1/2 hours with a shortened encore. But after that Ball and a Biscuit he played to end the show, I don't know how he could have ended it any better.

i was at both shows as well. Wow. I agree that even with the slightly shorter setlist, the second night was definitely more energy. But both were so good. And the Alabama Shakes rocked the house...

Why wouldn't you have bought tickets to both in the first place?

The L.A. shows sold out instantaneously and are selling for at least 3x face so much easier said than done. I actually got my tickets via a drawing at a local record store's Blunderbuss listening party. After buying the album, I was drawn as the grand prize winner for two tickets to the show. :D

I didn't see this with my own 2 eyes so I can't confirm it, but supposedly Meg (as well as Bob Segar) were in attendance at the evening show last night in Detroit. Both excellent shows (albeit both sets were a wee bit short in my opinion). Also, don't know if it has been mentioned on here yet, but Jack is selling "Tour Editions" of the 2 7 inches. Same songs, but the artwork is hand drawn versions of the "Sixteen Saltines" and "Love Interruption" covers"

Also, good to meet you BigDaddyWill. Hopefully we'll get to do it again sometime. Maybe at another Pop Goes Duane show

Aside for the short afternoon show, only about 1hr and 15 minutes long, the show was excellent. Jack doing Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground on the piano was fantastic! Heisenberg, it was great meeting you as well. Let me know if you make back up this way, for any future shows.

I thought the evening show lacked any interaction from jack. He seemed distracted and not interested in being there. I think he said one or two things to the crowd. No dead weather? I've seen jack three times with his other bands and they all blew this show away.

    Great show last night!!!

We got the man band and they blew us away.

A little disappointed in the crowd though, Jack stopped for us to sing 'I can tell that we are going to be friends' and only a few people sang, the rest of the crowd just applauded like it was the end of the song. Jack just strummed it out. At least everyone sang along with Seven Nation Army.

Didn't get the Alabama Shakes but another opener called Quasi, and interesting 2 piece.

Night 1 in L.A. was incredible. He played with the guys band tonight and I really liked the different dynamic, having seen him last month with the ladies. Both sets were great, but he seemed a little bit more aggressive and rocking with the guys. He played "Top Yourself" into "I Cut Like a Buffalo" into "Dead Leaves & the Dirty Ground" (the arrangement with him on keys) and I thought it couldn't be topped from there but it was only the middle of the set! Really enjoying the Blunderbuss stuff a lot more seeing it live again, especially "Trash Tongue Talker" and "Take Me With You When Go" which were highlights for me tonight.

Can't wait to do it all over again Thursday night, making it a Jack White triple play!!!

Wow. What a few days with Jack White in L.A. To explain the pic, my buddy works for the club and over the weekend got an email from Jack's manager asking for tickets to a game. He took care of them and in exchange, got tickets to the 1st night's show. They wanted it low profile and not really known that they were there (Hence, why I didn't really post anything on twitter). I was already going to that night's game so my friend told me that if I wanted to see him escort him in, to wait by a particular entrance. After waiting forever and missing the first few innings, up walked Jack and his manager. Nobody really recognized him and I wasn't sure if I should say anything. They got set up and my friend had waited well after he was off to meet them and make sure they were in, so we waited a bit and when my buddy went back to check on him before he left, asked if it would be ok to take a picture. His manager said sure but they'd just ordered food so come back later. Wait, wait, wait, and come back only to be told to wait until the end of the inning because he's watching the game. Finally, his manager asks him and he comes over shakes our hands, poses for the pic, chats for a minute. I told him how incredible I thought his Mayan show in April was and he was so nice, saying, "You were there? Oh cool. That show was a lot of fun." I asked if he'd mind signing a ball and he was really cool about it. Thanked him and told him I was looking forward to the shows this week. Just way too excited that I had to share somewhere!

Night 2 was just as good as the first. He played with the ladies Thursday. I felt he was a little more raw and aggressive with the guys, but the girls were just impeccable last night. I had previously seen him play with the girls last month at the Mayan and while it was great, this show took it a notch higher and was really great. Loved hearing "On and On and On" for the first time out of three shows, along with "Blue Blood Blues" and "Steady, as She Goes.' It was the bass player's last show with the band before she leaves as she's pregnant, and they definitely went out on a high note. The Blunderbuss stuff sounded incredible. Somebody afterwards had asked me to compare the two and which band I liked better, but I really couldn't. Different dynamics but still both great shows. So much fun.

That is way cool. Nice job. I didn't see you post that on twitter...did you?
