Days of the New (whom I still really, really like their music) - the song "Touch, Peel and Stand." Truly a very cool song. Wish the lead singer would "kick" that drug problem.....as they were a good band. (IMO)The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated - Gandhi
"Empty pockets will Allow a greater Sense of wealth...." EV/ITW0 -
Ace of Base - The Sign
House of Pain - Jump Around
But, I must defend 7Mary3 They had the hits of Lucky, Water's Edge & My My.
7 albums worth of great music.0 -
Ahh, this one barely makes it in with 1990 ... and it's pretty obscure, but, if you listened to college radio, you heard it ...
They Eat Their Own - Like a Drug

"I don't believe in damn curses. Wake up the damn Bambino and have me face him. Maybe I'll drill him in the ass." --- Pedro Martinez0 -
definitely sex and candy by marcy playground.Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.0 -

But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.0

I'm not sure what year this song came out. It could have been an 80s hit rather than 90s but I thought I'd mention it: Turning Japanese by the Vapours. Unforgettable.0

Ok great list, but Fiona Apple and The Wallflowers are in no way one hit wonders. They are more like great rock artists that had a few hits. There is a big, big difference b/w the two.0

As a Brit I find it really funny reading bands like Blur and Oasis being lumped in as one hit wonders! Have you guys never heard Oasis' Don't Look Back In Anger?! I'm not even a huge fan of the band, but that song is huge in every sense of the word:

Could be argued against being one hit wonders (I think they had a few albums), but 3 Colours Red - Beautiful Day.
That song was huge for about 20 mins, and although I had that album I don't remember anything else about them.
Could just be my bad memory tho! :oops:0 -

What IS the reason? Prob just cause they were top of the pops at the same time...if I'm not mistaken, Losing MY Religion was also huge at the same time.0 -
