was this mentioned? I fucking loved it for the easy acoustic intro but then turns into the typical sounding 90's polished distortion

I would throw The Juliana Hatfield Three's "My Sister" as one hit wonder. Maybe a few minor hit singles like Spin the Bottle or Universal Heart Beat

@brianlux will have something to say about this, lol!

    Haha!  Indeed.
Hatfield put out a terrific memoir called When I Grow UpIn her book, she intersperses various stories about how she developed her love of music, a very interesting/revealing story about her mother's affair with Mountain bassist and multi-instrumentalist Felix Pappalardi, a slightly nervous telling of the time Henry Rollins put up Blake Babies in his house for a few days (which is rumored to likely have led to her writing the song "President Garfield" from same album as "My Sister"- Garfield is Rollins' surname)-- all of that sandwiched between nicely detailed chapters involving The Blake Baby on tour.

One very cool story in her book is about the song eeriepadave mentioned, "Spin the Bottle".  She was inspired by P. J. Harvey to write a danceable, snappy tune in 5/4 time, no easy task.  And what a fine success!  That tune's easy groove belies the unusual timing.  But if you listen to it and count it out-- one two three four five, one two three four five, one two three four five-- it simply grooves.

I like "My Sister", but for me it's probably at least halfway down my list of favorites from Become What You Are, one of my favorite albums of Hatfield's.  It was recently re-issued on vinyl through American Laundromat Records and that pressing sounds fantastic!

I just looked up the lyrics to President Garfield and it DEFINITELY is about Henry Garfield Rollins!

    LOL, yeah!

There is a part about a book about himself and walking down DC streets too.  That is what sold me.

Yes, and the clincher is the song title, "President Garfield".  Rollins was born Henry Lawrence Garfield!

 I'm pretty sure this wasn't even released as a single nor was a hit. Great soundtrack though (song is ok, imo).

Standing Outside of a Broken Phone Booth with Money in my Hand - Primitive Radio Gods, will always be my #1 hit wonder of any decade.

My Early Hardcore record Flex Your Head has a very young Henry in it with his name Henry Garfield. Only place I've seen that.  Someone covered an SOA song and his name can be seen in that too.
