I see your location is Ireland, so to you, maybe not. But over here in the states, they definitely qualify. Their only hit was Song 2 and it was a mild one at that.
Hell, Oasis only really had one big hit here with wonderwall.
I would say two for Oasis in the U.S.....Champagne Supernova would be the second.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
Folk Implosion- Natural One
Marcy's Playground-Sex and Candy
White Town- Your Woman
Harvey Danger- Flagpole Sitter
Oleander- Why I'm Here
Tin Star- Head
Marvelous 3- Freak of the Week
Crazytown-Butterfly
Eiffel 65- Blue
9 Days- This is a Story of a Girl
Stroke 9- Little Backpack
Powerderfinger- My Happiness
Primitive Radio Gods- Phonebooth.....
Nixons-Sister
7 Mary 3- Cumbersome
Lemonheads- Into Your Arms
I could probably think of more, or find more I should say, if I looked at my Itunes at home. 107.9 The End was the alt rock station here in Cleveland, and when they went off the air in 1999 I spent the better part of 2 years coming up with every song they would play and made basically my own station on my computer (I was 15 with alot of free time). I have a ton of songs many of you probably forgot all about sitting around on my old computer
Boooo. Party foul. BTE had quite a few hits, and they just put out an album with some more hit ready tunes.
In The Blood
Rosalita
King of New Orleans
Desperately Wanting
At The Stars
Extra Ordinary
A Lifetime
Juicy
All of those did fairly well on radio
"One more murder" was a big hit in Houston back in 99. That was the tour I saw them on.
You're right. I missed that one. I remember hearing "Misunderstood" on the radio as the second single from "Closer" but then the label folded and that was the end of that album cycle. It's a damn shame, that album could have had 3-4 good singles with "Rolling", "Misunderstood", "Extra Ordinary", and "A Lifetime"

+ Live Forever, if you count college radio hits, it was for sure.
Crash Test Dummies - Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
The Proclaimers - 500 Miles
The La's - There She Goes
James - Laid
Mazzy Star - Fade Into You
Lo Fidelity Allstars - Battleflag
Big Wreck - The Oaf
I'm from Boston, so perhaps they got more play there, but, I felt they had more than this ... certainly the Mrs. Robinson cover was big. A few other tunes of It's a Shame About Ray were all over the radio as well, like the title track and Rudderless .... again, folks from other parts of the country should chime in here.

I won a steak dinner with that La's song ... heard a version on the radio and bet someone it WASN'T the REM version (he swore it was) ... mmm, steak.

I don't know how many "hits" the Lemonheads had because I was in Germany during their heyday, but they're still one of my favorite bands ever. "It's a Shame About Ray" and "Come on Feel the Lemonheads" should be placed in a vault along with the all time greats, IMO.

Big Wreck at least in Canada had some of my fav 90's songs. Check out That Song, Blown Wide Open and Under The Lighthouse, which were all VERY big in Canada
ooh, it's hurting my heart to see some of my all time favorite bands called one-hit wonders in this thread. please, PLEASE, i hope at least ONE person who reads this checks out at least ONE of these records:
blur - modern life is rubbish, parklife, blur, 13
tripping daisy - jesus hits like the atom bomb, tripping daisy
mazzy star- she hangs brightly, among my swan
the verve - urban hymns, a northern soul
not a complete list for any of these, but a whole shit-ton of great music on each of those albums if you're thinking any of these are one-hit wonders...

One hit wonders doesn't mean that they, or their albums suck. They just only had one hit song .
a few of these bands could be considered 2 hit wonders as well. As far as Blur is concered I only heard 2 radio songs: song 2, and Boys and Girls (Briefly).
Sponge also had a few more hits and I can't remember the song off their new pop sunday album? (That album is now out of print I think. I can't even remember the single from it. They also had a hit with Wax estatic and someone mentioned plowed and then Moly was also a hit in the 90s.
For Mazzy star- the whole album of "so tonight that I might see" is great. Highly recommend.
Someone mentioned smash mouth and "all star" but they also had hits with "walking on the sun", "Can't get enough of you baby", and "then the morning comes."
I remembered hearing it, and for years, I always wondered who did it. it was on and off the radio in a flash.
It was very Jeff Buckley sounding, but I knew it wasn't him. And because the title was "Alcohol" searching for it was near impossible (there are a lot of songs with alcohol in the title).
Well, last week, I made a determined effort and found it ... I really dig this tune.
