Marucca's Seaside Heights,NJ
I seen this place on the show Man vs Food the other night and man it looked good.
These are my favourites:If you have nothing to lose, you have nothing to worry about.0 -
One thing I miss about when I lived on long island is all the AMAZING pizza. Having grown up with it there, I didn't realize that it would not be as good anywhere else, including here in Richmond VA where I moved to 10 years ago.
Levittown NY
-Two Brothers: Amazing Sicilian slices. Crust is delicate and fresh, but thick. That's a hard balance to find around her. Also their Baked-Ziti slice is great.
Westbury, NY
-Mama Theresa's: They used to have a great Baked-Ziti slice, but now they changed the recipe, and it's actually a little better! They now make it in a pocket, similar to a calzone, but with baked ziti inside... and the outside of the pocket is a little "glossy", so it's just a nice unique "slice".
Garden City, NY
-Garden City Pizza: Great Baked-Ziti slice, Grandma slice (like Sicilian but flat), and the other standards. Always have tons of options ready to go.
Richmond VA:
-Cozzoli's Pizza in Short Pump is really good, for the area, with a regular and mediterranean slice.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

WOW, that looks sooooooo good!If you have nothing to lose, you have nothing to worry about.0 -
Gino's East in Chicago. If your ever here it is the Deep Dish Pizza of all Deep dish Pizza. What makes it great is they use a corn crust. I think you can even have it shipped/FedEx to you.

In the Burbs (Bolingbrook and Woodridge) of Chicago PaPa's Pizza. Someting about their tangy sauce to the cheese and crust. There is no pizza even in Chicago that tastes like it.

Pepperoni/sausage combos are great and once in a blue moon I'll get a chicken Parma pizza. It's simply amazing.0 -

Yeah, Rustica is the only place I really order from. Definitely the best I have had. Don't think they cook it enough though at times.0 -

I'd agree with that. Almost better left over than fresh. Still great though0 -

Tomato pie and water ice are two things I don't get about Philly.0 -
Did I ever tell you my *Pizza story*
I was about a year old. I loved pizza so much that I ate it until I fainted because to me eating pizza was more important than breathing. Although it probably only happened one time, after that time my mom had to instruct any babysitters . . . If Mary faints just put her on her side . . . .
I still love pizza. PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA HOW I LOVE THEE PIZZA!!!
LOVEPIZZA

LOVEPIZZAThere is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous

Yeah, I'm with you on both. I mean I'll eat them, but I don't get off on them like a lot of others.0 -
For those in north eastern mass ...
Tony and Ann's - Dracut, MA
http://www.tonyandannspizza.com/history.html
It resided in North Chelmsford for about 30 years, but closed after the founder (Tony) passed in the late 90s. After many attempts to get them to reopen, of offers in the millions dollars for the recipe ... the kids finally reopened the place up last year.
For the first month, lines were up to 1 - 2 hour long!
One of the animators from the Simpson's was from Chelmsford and the old T&A has been in a few episodes ...
And as always, only open 3 days a week.
It's a cult following. It's a unique taste. It's all about the sauce and the cheese. The sauce is *really* sweet and there is a ton of it ... and the cheese is a blend, at least 4 - 5 kinds in there with almost a bitter or sour taste. But the harmony of the two is beyond fantastic. And yes, the only pizza I'd ever want with NOTHING on it, plain cheese for me, thanks!
978 - 251 - 3311 - Same number for the past 30 years ... this number rolls off my brain easier than my SS# or my phone #."You're one of the few Red Sox fans I don't mind." - Newch91
"I don't believe in damn curses. Wake up the damn Bambino and have me face him. Maybe I'll drill him in the ass." --- Pedro Martinez0 -
I live for pizza!!! I don't have any favorite local places, but so far the best I've had is at a place called Pi in St. Louis. I will be hitting it up when we are in town for Ed.Hearts and thoughts they fade....
fade away...
I am at peace with my lust.....for Eddie.0
