Like I said earlier, just working backwards the first three rounds.  GTF may get passed by for Present Tense.

I went Light Years last round so I guess I have to be consistent. But man, those first couple minutes of Present Tense aren't great on the record. Live it is awesome. On No Code not so much.

If this trend continues (last two from the bottom go down), the final will be between RVM and Release.
    I´m totally fine with that.

I am very disappointed that I Am Mine is gone so early.

Nostalgia runs deep w/ PJ fans. Albums 7-10 eliminated in rounds one and two. GTF to buck the chronological trend.

Nah, the songs on the first half of their records are "light years" better than their second half of records. While they are better musicians than they were in 1991, nothing replaces the combination of passion, hunger and available time.

I just couldn't bring myself to vote for Light Years yet. So it was either this or Corduroy. I kind of regret my pick already.

Lot of votes for present tense...very surprising! . It's already getting tough but next round will be voting off an absolute gem.

Glad to see Inside Job and I Am Mine gone. Will be sad to see Light Years go, it's a beautiful song. Corduroy is up next for me. Just love the other three more.
Anything you lose from being honest
You never really had to begin with.

Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.

I hear ya and agree that as a whole the albums were better. But there's some real gems of songs in the second half of the catalog that in my opinion belong in a similar pantheon as some of the band's earlier work. The same passion, hunger and available time could also be said for our ears, as the listeners, which is where the nostalgic part comes in. One of the fun parts in this exercise is to hear the differing opinions, none of which are right or wrong. I submit that at least one of the "best" songs off albums 7-10 are better than one of the "best" songs off albums 1-6. I Am Mine, for example, tops Light Years and Present Tense in my book.

Honestly I think there should only be two clear frontrunners (Corduroy or RVM), and I think Corduroy is the clear winner.  But my opinion is usually wrong!

Ugh, just do not like Present Tense. Live or not. I feel like it's only gotten popular as we've gotten older. Takes less energy to react to at a concert.

Really? I feel like it's still going solid live. The studio version doesn't capture the song like it deserves to. I think the way it was played in 2006 with Matt throwing in a great drum pattern leading up to the climax was amazing. Wish it would come back.

I refuse to vote.  This is nuts.  We are essentially picking the best Pearl Jam song out of the list. Impossible.
