I agree, lottery means anyone can get tickets. I wanna see some effort go into ticket buying. I wanna know that when I am standing next to a 10c member at a gig that they went above and beyond to get tickets and not sit back waiting for a lottery
The cock up with that ticket agency a couple of years back for PJEuro2012 tickets meant I called the company personally and as they were based in central London I offered to go there in person to their offices and give them money for tickets when the systems went down for 2 days.

Absolutely bring it back!!!!! I've never had any problems getting tickets, sometimes it took a little while but I didn't mind.
Here's how you do it:
Pick the show(s) you want to go to, take the on-sale day off work, sit in front of the computer, try and get tickets. If you didn't get them, tough fucking luck. Sometimes you don't get everything you want in life. No need to cry about it.
I definitely do not like this new lottery system bullshit.

So now with this lotto system, theres a very good chance that I wont be able to go to shows in my area (ny/nj). Thanks. Everyone from around the world will get tickets to it. Thanks.
Bring back website crashing and F5.
At least you had to try and put effort into it before. Now any lazy fuck can get tickets. Lame.
first off official threads MUST HAVE the *** *** in the subject header. rookies  :ugeek: :ugeek:
u think 10c tickets for NYC were hard to get before? well now that you don't have to "work hard" to get tickets just watch the amount of scalpers that join up, digital, in HOT ticket markets, just to resell tickets.
hate to say i told you so :geek:
pick up tickets @ 2pm at the window.
sell them on the street for 4 times the value...or more if u win the lottery!
then, don't go to the show, and have a nice steak and fries dinner with fine cognac

Yep. I have to say I'm on the fence about this, but for a bunch of $20 investments, there are folks that can profitable up their chances to get tickets to hot markets.
Read up on the Alabama-Notre Dame ticket market and how a couple of companies were buying up Orange Bowl tickets every year as loss leaders just to get tickets to this year's Orange Bowl/Nat'l Championship and they hit the jackpot.
I think folks are going to be bitterly disappointed with the outcome of all this.
But, it is what it is. I wish they'd just start pricing their shows appropriately and be done with it.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.
Yep with F5 I knew I had an edge over the competition because I would never quit. Now I am on equal footing with the people who would actually give up after 5 hrs or so .

Signed man. I've been against them going to the lottery for a while now. I've submitted several posts about why i hate it. I've had great success getting tickets before. I don't see that being the case any longer considering I usually go to many of the northeast shows.
I can see why people that don't live in areas where there is a supply/demand issue are all in favor it. You weren't going to have an issue getting tickets anyway.

I'm not sure how I feel. On the one hand, I'm concerned that scalpers may be able to capitalize on this easier, but on the other hand, I think most of us are usually able to find a way into shows. Now, I've never been to a show in NYC/Boston etc, so maybe I really don't have the same experiences you all do.
At the same time, I guess I don't care if I get 10c tickets or not, just so long as I go. My 10c # isn't high enough to where I'm ever really sitting super close anyway. So it'll be interesting to see. This may just mean that the public sale becomes all the more important for some of us some of the time.
Put this post in the "maybe" pile.

I like F5ing. Kinda lets the animal instinct come out. Nothings wrong with a little screaming yelling panic induced temper tantrums.
But, I guess the new system won't be that bad
