I liked the the old system.... Take a day maybe 2. Get some beers sit in front of the computer. Watch the madness ensue. Make your wife take over if you need to pee or have a quick SMOKE. I don't mind the lottery, just think its dumb being charged for each option you choose even though you may only be selected for one. Makes no sense??! So put me down for going back to the old way. I like having my own fate in my own hands. Not some hipster t shirt models!

I strangely agree I wouldn't necessarily say it was fun but I didn't mind it at all. Was a pain sometimes but still would rather take a day off and do that than the lottery. But what do we know remember "WE DON'T HAVE LIVES" according to a lot of people. Whatever. If you want tickets you'll find a way.
The old system sucked it crashed all the time and it bottle necked.
Btw F5 sucks!

F5 is the digital version of standing in the cold and rain outside of a ticketmaster outlet back in the day. If you wanted prime tickets for a show, you had to do it. You couldn't just sit on your couch all fat and sassy waiting on someone to pull your name out of a hat. BRING IT BACK! only find a friggin IT guy who can keep the goddamn site from completely crashing!!! it can't be that hard. While you're at it, ask him to change my fucking avatar!!!

i like F5 (or, rather, command R for me!) and i miss it a lot. i get the theory behind the lotto and all that but i like having control, i like knowing that i'm putting forth effort and not just sitting back hoping and praying someone picks me. especially since i can't afford to get 4 pairs so i have to put all my eggs in probably 1 or 2 baskets and hope i win since i live in a huge market. i mean, yeah i'll probably find a spare but i still miss the rush of coming in a few minutes before showtime, refreshing right before tickets go live, cursing that IT'S F*CKING 12:03 WHY CAN'T I F*CKING SEE ANY F*CKING TICKETS YET YOU PIECE OF SH!T OF A WEBSITE?!! and getting in and buying tickets RIGHT before it all goes to hell. it took me like 13 hours to get PJ20 tickets, which is a source of pride for me now . and it was awesome when they said to all of us to stop trying for tonight but if you think there are tickets in your basket go for it, which i did because i thought i had some in my basket, and i found out after midnight est tickets were plentiful and the site wasn't crashing.... that was awesome. back then you felt proud to go into battle side by side with your fellow pearl jam freaks and come out victorious with a pair and a confirmation page you had to screen shot to have proof before you got that aggravating "oops! you ripped our face off!" page... yeah it was annoying and frustrating as all hell but at least i controlled my destiny and i didn't leave it up to fate. THAT to me is more aggravating than the whole F5 situation.
why can't they use a separate host site to sell tickets? it was fine when they used ticketmaster. and they can just give us all unique passwords and we can get 1-2 tickets each.... a girl can dream can't she?
I definitely liked the old system better. With this new system you'll be lucky if you get one show per tour let alone 2. If the new system stays in place there is no way in hell I'm paying to travel and not having fan club seats.
Oh but wait they could be like a real band and tour more than 10 shows every year or so. Now there's a notion!!
