That is so cool, I would have loved to have met him. Mr. Dressup and Sesame Street are the only kids shows I really liked outside of cartoons. Mr. Rogers gave me the creeps could never watch that show.

No Electric Company? Or maybe it wasn't aired in Canada.
    How about Zoom!
Zoom was great! That's how I learned the zip code for Boston, MA.
Maybe it was regional to us east coasters .

I remember not having toy's,But plenty of trees around the barn and the old hen house to play tree tag.Going out on adventures on what we named Lost Creek,Leaping bolder to bolder all the way up and back.Hiking up Mission Hills Rd. and catching scorpions on sticks, waiting till they almost reached your hand,Then switch it around.Sometimes we'd get sidetracked. Oop's! Climbing to the top of the Pine Trees,Then sliding down the branches.Jumping from the roof to the Hay Pile,But you had to clear the barbed wire fence.Instead of running with the Bull's we played running from the Bull,Straight to the Pine Trees.Catching Pollywogs, and Salamanders,Snakes and Lizards. What I'm getting at, Is that, Instead of Imagination Station, We had to use our Imagination.Back when life was much simpler.

We did this too! Only we 'herded' Tarantulas! I made one my
Pet.. But my dad made me let it go, cause it freaked the other siblings and my
Step mom out!! His name was Harry. ( how did I know it was a boy Tarantula?? Cause the males are smaller.) he would sleep under our porch.. And when we all came out, he would too. My
Brother was mad at me one day, and to get me back.. He stomped on Harry, killing him.. I just remember when my Dad spanked him for it, we could all hear him yelling, why would you kill your sister's spider??? Yeah I was the weird kid wherever I went!!

The Electric Company was indeed in Canada. I loved that show! That show is how Menudo got its start, lol (good for Ricky Martin, hahaha!).
I also sometimes watched Boomerang.... after watching this video, I don't know why, lol. What, was the whole show about the most basic principles of physics?

They will never know what it's like to use a pay phone, or answer one.
Ever know the frustration of living in a house with one phone line and no call waiting or voicemail, hear a busy signal, or use a 26.6k dial-up modem and hope to be able to connect to the internet.

went to retro con outside philly yesterday (Oaks, PA)

It was pretty cool.  It was like my childhood bedroom threw up.  A whole bunch of toys, video games and such from mostly the 80's (some 70's and 90's).
Face and Hannibal were there signing autographs.  I didn't get anything signed or anything.
