I can't believe this guy's so talented, he's the best singer from the 90's or at least top 5, he's so diverse and his voice is just great, all of his musical projects are mind blowing, Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Fantomas, Kaada/Patton (everyone should check this cd out, it's called Romances, it's some of the best beautifully sick music you can find).
So yeah, share your appreciation for Mr. Patton!!!

Im a big fan of faith no more and although i respect his awsome diversity as a singer im not a fan of fantomas and his projects that edge towards death metal.......also, what the hell is with that rumour that he eats his own crap?!
Like a cloud dropping rain, I'm discarding allllll thought.

fantomas is his only project that has some death metal, but mr. bungle and tomahawk are just rock, and they kick ass... and if you want to just really chill you gotta listen to kaada/patton, best thing he has ever done in my opinion

if you enjoyed reading that out loud then u will like mike pattons solo album. and i do...and when u listen to fantomas, dont take it seriously. Theres screaming and stuff...but to mike its not really soposed to sound good..its friggin weird and funny. and almost no one gets it. they oponed for tool awile back and the crowd was full of confused faces. Mike patton said thats what a sucsessfull gig is to him.
  • haha yeah , i got his solo album too, porno holocaust is a classic!!!

Faith No More's my 2nd favourite band after Pearl Jam... Mike Pattons gotta be the best singer I've ever heard. I really need to hear some of his other stuff...

Just listening to a Mike Patton funpack playlist I made on my Itunes and am SOOO glad a thread like this exists! :D

This cover of Simply Beautiful sums it up when it comes to this man....OK, yeah I think he's easy on the eyes but thats not what I mean. ;) This VOCAL range!!! The man is soooo talented and fearless. He just doesn't give a FUCK and I think that really helps this creativeness just flow. The man can SING, hit high ass notes etc. but then he's also not afraid to fuckin growl, yell, SCREAM like a mother fucker and also throw goofiness up in the mix. He's THE BEST! Waaaay talented, original, unique, goofy, weird as hell. Ahhh what more could ya ask for? :) just serously the best of ALL worlds right here. Out of it all my personal fav has got to be BUNGLE, but I definitely appreciate EVERYTHING this man does. What a giver!

***Much love for the mighty weirdo/talent that is MIKE PATTON

fantomas is one of the tightest bands live.

i dig the interaction between patton and lombardo.
  • very talented and FNM were a great band but the stuff he's been doing lately is simply too weird.

    LOL!!!

I hear ya though. He does get a little too out there sometimes. :p While I love and appreciate that about him...I, too, can't always handle it. I saw him and John Zorn live years back. Basically just Mike making puking sounds and John on the horns. HA! It was AWESOME for the first hour or so....then 2 hours later and still going strong (!!) I had a pounding headache and just could not hang. The man IS outta control.

lol i think they would entertain me for about 10 minutes! non-stop screaming gets to me so making puking sounds for a couple of hours would leave me going nuts lol.
