96 was the last great tour...if they would bag the bullshit and stay focused they WOULD be huge again,...oh..and 90 minute shows from a band with 7 albums isnt going to cut it anymore...you need to play 2 hours +

haha, good luck! this tour wont be any different. 90 mins of Liam acting uninterested and the crowd waiting for Live Forever.

Well someone better tell Liam that the UK alone isnt going to keep his misses in jewelery...they really need a strong showing from this album

oh..one of my favorite Liam comments "Americans want grungy people, stabbing themselves in the head on stage. They get a bright bunch like us, with deodorant on, they don't get it." LOL

    Mendes' Oasis Crush
    12 August 2008 4:58 AM, PDT

Hollywood actress Eva Mendes has admitted to a massive crush on Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.

The Hitch star insists she became a big fan of the British rock band in the 1990s, before shooting to fame herself.

And Mendes' love for the group, and Gallagher in particular, still affects her to the present day.

She says, "Before I was an actress, when Oasis were really hot in America, I went to La to see them play.

"I had a crush on Liam Gallagher. I got backstage and met him. But I was so in awe of him, I couldn't say anything. He just looked at me as if I was dumb.

"Just thinking about it now makes me break out in a cold sweat."

New single only has one B-side. Fucking cheap-ass wankers. What happened to you?

The days of the 4-track Whatever single seem like a looooong time ago.

Oasis previewed the set list for the forthcoming live dates with a special fan show last night (August 14).

The band invited competition winners to their London rehearsal studios, where they were allowed to watch a full run through of the set the band are expected to play on their forthcoming North American dates, mixing songs from forthcoming album 'Dig Out Your Soul' with tracks from throughout their career, including 'Be Here Now''s 'My Big Mouth'.

According to fans posting the band's official fourm on Oasisinet.com, "Liam [Gallagher] sounded fucking spot on, the best he's sounded in years," before he ended the set by "walking through the crowd and kissing [wife] Nicole by the bar."

Guitarist Noel Gallagher meanwhile joked with the fans that "next time you see us live you'll be miles away".

    Oasis played:

    'Rock 'N' Roll Star'
    'Lyla'
    'The Shock Of The Lightning'
    'Cigarettes And Alcohol'
    'The Meaning Of Soul'
    'To Be Where There's Life'
    'Waiting For The Rapture'
    'The Masterplan'
    'Songbird'
    'Slide Away'
    'Morning Glory'
    'Ain't Got Nothin''
    'The Importance of Being Idle'
    'I'm Outta Time'
    'Wonderwall'
    'My Big Mouth'
    'Supersonic'
'Don't Look Back In Anger' (acoustic)
    'Falling Down'
    'Champagne Supernova'
    'I Am The Walrus'
    Shows:

Oasis' first UK tour since 2006 sold out within an hour of going on sale this morning (August 20).

All 180,000 tickets for the 18-date tour were snapped up by fans over the phone and internet - with no reported network problems.

NME.COM also understands that several thousand fans queued for tickets outside London's Wembley Arena, Bournemouth and Sheffield.

A spokesperson for Oasis said: "The demand for tickets this morning was just immense. All the ticket sites slowed down severely but nothing crashed and the system worked very smoothly. We want to thank the fans for their patience and look forward to seeing you all at the shows."

Oasis' new album, 'Dig Out Your Soul', is released on October 6.
