Oasis' first UK tour since 2006 sold out within an hour of going on sale this morning (August 20).

All 180,000 tickets for the 18-date tour were snapped up by fans over the phone and internet - with no reported network problems.

NME.COM also understands that several thousand fans queued for tickets outside London's Wembley Arena, Bournemouth and Sheffield.

A spokesperson for Oasis said: "The demand for tickets this morning was just immense. All the ticket sites slowed down severely but nothing crashed and the system worked very smoothly. We want to thank the fans for their patience and look forward to seeing you all at the shows."

Oasis' new album, 'Dig Out Your Soul', is released on October 6.

Those saying Liam doesn't look interested on stage...last time I saw them as a full band in 05 (saw Noel in Gem after in '06), it was Liam who came across as the leader of the band, it was Noel who just wasn't really there that night. Liam in recent years has had a better attitude, is happier.

Did anyone hear that interview Noel did on Radio 1 last week? That's probably the funniest shit I've ever heard.

  • I'm sidestage, don't remember the section but I pulled good seats. I haven't thought about it much lately though, still on too much of a high from Ed's shows last week, lol. It was pretty cool though walking to Massey Hall and seeing banners for Oasis at the V festival on every streetlight or post or whatever.

yeah let's just hope it's better than Heathen Chemistry, because IMO that's thier worst record other than hindu times I can't think of another song I really like. Haven't had too much time with the single but Lord don't slow me down is a great track

i always felt the same way in 98-2000 when pearl jam seemed to be trying to get their profile back and would release an album and then tour europe and australia before coming back to the states. so weird.
    and like that... he's gone.
