Today some seats in 120 dropped in price.Gern Blansten said:I'm seeing them Saturday....can't wait
Same night, Saturday. $380 all in, each ticket. That was fine by me. I love those side stage seats. Sit there quite often for Pearl Jam.
I'm all set.
I couldn't wait any longer to purchase. Haha
$380 was fine. If come Saturday they drop even more, oh well, I made my decision.
Take me piece by piece.....

Things sure changed for me since Oct. 2025.
Was pissed at the $1000 ticket prices.
The platinum bullshit.
The release of concert dates after everyone had panicked.
Had no intention of going to Chicago.
Now Im in Chicago
Side stage
For a reasonable price.
Woo hoo!!!!
And the meek shall inherit the Earth.Take me piece by piece.....

I'm looking at getting a side stage seat for Philly show. I like side stage as I have sat there for quite a few Pearl Jam shows too. You should have a good view of Annika. Tickets going for $310 in Philly.SPEEDY MCCREADY said:

Those side stage seats, at most venues, that start the sections that wrap around the stage? Sec. 120 in Chicago? I love those seats. Been grabbing those seats for Pearl Jam concerts for over 10 years. Always get them for face value, they are always available. For some reason people would rather sit 30th row on the floor than in those seats on the side.cutz said:

I did Paul McCartney in those seats, in Atlanta, the seats were incredible. I did Pearl Jam in MSG in those seats, again incredible.
I did a KISS show from those seats about 5 years ago. Insane fun!!!!

I have done side stage seats for decades. A couple of times had seats right on the aisle for U2 (Vertigo tour) that cost half the price of the person 5 feet to my right in the aisle seat of the next section over.SPEEDY MCCREADY said:

Some folks just don't think a "side view" is good. You're usually right om top of the band; the view is usually fantastic.
Like you I saw McCartney side stage (back in like 2000) again, half the price of the next section over. And I also did Kiss that way on the Psycho Circus tour, and we were looking directly down on where Paul and Ace would go on/off stage. Watched Ace hanging out while Gene was doing his blood spitting bass solo, quite cool
Unfortunately, I've noticed Live Nation/TM has figured out that these seats are good and in recent years they are not always priced lower (or only slightly lower) than the next section over.
But have seen a number of great shows from those sections.

Thats the part thats SO COOL.
You are right on top of the stage!
Its an awesome viewpoint. For Pearl Jam I always go for Boom/Stone's side. No particular reason other than I like the view from that side of the stage.
I've seen folks here, for any given show, over a course of 15 years or so, PASS on those seats when trying to get tix for a show. They just refuse to sit over there, and would rather sit halfway back in the stadium. Never ever ever makes any sense to me.

maybe because of sound? I tend to try to get in the middle to make sure I get the best audioSPEEDY MCCREADY said:Poncier

I agree with this 100%. I am there to hear the music in it's best possible presentation, and that's as close to dead center as I can get - whether it's in the front rows or the back of the hall.Gern Blansten said:

Don't get me wrong....if it's a show I want to see and that is all that I can get I'll get the side seats. I just prefer to get the best sound I can get.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)
