Restaurants make very low marg I need these days,  agree that this is where we are at.
I want that pie right now.
    87 and humid.
Ran this am, did 2 hours of yard work,  2 hours of desk work, now getting hot tub and beers

Pizza may be in very near future!

I only eat pizza once every few months, mostly when my kids are home and there is downtime. This spot has the market cornered in an affluent town. Truth is they make good food and there is no competition. The chicken scarpariello is killer. Lines out the door Thursday through Sunday. They are making buckets of money. And my 18 year old daughter loves their BBQ chicken slice, which makes me cringe every time I get it for her.
We tried 2 different pizza joints since we moved here. That's all I needed to try. I now have my Lou Malnatis shipped frozen to me, and they have a Giordanos in Orlando that we have dined at twice.

Sorry Florida but your pizza is disgusting.

Our standard order from the local spot. Mushroom and onion.  Nothing special, but solid every time.
EDIT: Is $28 normal for a large pie?

That’s cheap for a large pie out here

I guess it not that bad. We do have a place that makes personal size pizzas in a wood fired oven. They are small 12" pies and $20-$28 each. Real deal Italians and damn good. But I have a hard time spending $$$$ for pizza and salad. We do it once or twice a year because it is really good.

Doesn't look like a grandma pie.

Detroit style? Or did they call it pub style?

They cook it like their grandma pie. But it’s pepperoni with hot oil and red pepper flakes. Very good! Maybe pub style? It’s very thin, so not Detroit.

100% Spumoni. Delicious and very unique. Reminds me of Italy where the tomatoes and dough are the star.
