100% Spumoni. Delicious and very unique. Reminds me of Italy where the tomatoes and dough are the star.

If you think that is weird look up Japanese pizza. My family has ordered pizzas with fish roe and kewpie mayo on it. And anchovies, with the heads still on.

I watched a special on pizza in Asia years ago.  The corporate companies were failing whereas an ex-pat was thriving.

    Why?

He chose to put the local flavors on /in the pizza rather than traditional.

I would try it but not what I would call "pizza".  Just like what @Get_Right ordered.  No thank you, lol.  I'll try it once though.

Looks like they did pretty good. The edges could be a little darker. I would’ve left it in the oven a few more minutes. The cheese might have something to do with the difference I see too traditionally Detroit style pizzas use Wisconsin Brick cheese, which is a fattier cheese than regular mozzarella. It’s similar to the German cheese, Butterkäse. Probably hard to source in Greece. Sauce should’ve gone on top of the cheese in stripes, but that not the biggest deal. I’d eat it.

Truthfully, even Domino's tasted good. It is still pizza. One of the best things I ever ate was a Burger King whopper in Hong Kong airport after spending a month in inland China. The things we ate would scare most people away.

When I travel I do like to eat local delicacies.  Not all are good.  Like Marby or Mauby in Barbados.  It's their local "root" beer.  Tastes nasty, lol.

100% agree. It is the Bourdain approach and every person should experience the local food culture regardless of location. Try something outside your comfort zone, like a frog stomach. There has only been one place where I missed the food when I got home to NY. Japan.

I’ve heard of people using this as a sub for Brick cheese. Also I’ve heard of mozz and jack cheese blend working.
