    From Tsurt -

We started working on the Eddie Vedder and Friends merch a few weeks back, and it has been fun to explore ways to include "the friends" in the merch and to think of new and different items.

As someone who knows a little bit about what is happening at this show, I would highly suggest not missing out on Ed's Friday set. I really think it will be a special one.

I originally thought it might be a cameo or two with most of the earthlings.  But this is bigger.  If “friends” are being considered in the conception of the merch, a pretty good bet that there are some big time names showing up.

With Jack White, Beck and Ben Harper having conflicts with their own touring, who are some of the candidates?

Jack Johnson plays The Gorge on 9/26 so he is unlikely.

    Bruce?
    Neil?
    Bono/The Edge?
    Roger Daltrey?
    Stipe?
    McCartney?
Mike Campbell and Benmont for a Petty Tribute?
    Niall Finn?

One thing about Eddie is that he has A LOT of friends in the music/entertainment industry so there are plenty of options.

Getting excited thinking about what PJ's set could look like. An Oceans opener at Ohana is overdue imo.

I reallly hope we get a Release opener...

and on the topic of guests/friends, I am very hopeful for any or all of the names mentioned above and I'm sure we will get some very cool surprises, but I remember all of the rumors leading up to the Spectrum shows in '09, none of it happening, and Ed saying "you've got me!" That said, I know this is a different thing entirely and EV & friends is happening, I'm just keeping a level head about it.

Neil Finn and Liam would be a great return....
I was hoping for Split Enz to play this year.
ME TOO!! All my friends over there seeing them right now in Sydney and I'm jealous.
My two big regrets from the early 80s......not seeing Split Enz or XTC live.

What are the best ways to plan for the temperature change from day to night, when we're only allowed to bring in a tiny bag and a beach towel?!

They rent lockers. Information for renting them should be released at some point. You can leave clothing in there.

I have gotten one in there...but you need to cut the tube down to 18-19in....fits at an angle from lower corner to the upper opposite side corner...barely...but it fits...make sure it isn't a big circumfrence on the tube either...

Am I the only one who doesn't think the temperature change is that drastic? Short/long sleeve shirt during the day, transition to a sweatshirt at night. Maybe bring a light jacket instead if rain is predicted.

You won't need a down jacket or snow pants.

I feel like my body has just not dealt with temperature changes very well in the past 5 years or so. The actual temperatures aren't the problem - it's the change. Like if I get out of bed at night and the house is at 66°, I feel absolutely frozen, body shaking with teeth chattering.

I was seeing lows of 55° for late September, with cold ocean air blowing in. That temperature feels like summer if it hits 55 in the middle of winter. But if it's been warm for a few days (or for 5 MONTHS, like it will in my area by September), I am acclimated to the heat and am freezing and walking around in my calf-length puffer coat if it drops to 50°.

However, I plan to be dancing and jumping a lot, and that will warm me up!

Yes just a long sleeve shirt should be fine.. guess it depends if you get a sunburn or not.. as that always gets ya a bit chilly at night… bring that sunscreen!

I’m shorts and a t shirt all day, but I also run warm. The temp drop isn’t much, but for people who are prone to being cold, something with sleeves is a good idea.

The posters don't fit well in the lockers. But for $10 you can store your poster in the locker area - like a coat check sort of.

I felt that last year it wasn't so drastic. I got away with putting on a flannel shirt at night. But 2024 seemed colder at night. It was also freezing early in the morning for the line up. I had multiple layers on that I stored in my locker during the day, and put back on at night.
