the answer is nothing. the correspondent's dinner is a private affair. not a public one. there is no way that a private event would have been held at the white house ballroom.

the administration is conflating the desire for a tax payer funded ballroom and it would not have made anybody safer. 

that is like saying "someone carjacked me out in public but if i had my 400 million dollar garage it would not have happened." two things, completely unrelated, becoming conflated in influence the legal system.

I found this to be a good thing.  The use of psychedelic's has always been something that was not researched enough. The article also stretches a little bit about who will profit from this with zero proof of that.

i am sorry, are you in medicine? i am.

i worked for a surgeon for 7 years. was a surgical rep for another 6 years. we made incisions big and small 5 or 6 times per day for every year i was in that OR. i made a career change 18 months ago and i am in wound healing now. i sell dressings that prevent infection and encourage healing. all wounds leave scars. all of them. i have scraped my knee plenty of times over the years and there are some discolored spots on it. that is scar tissue from abrasions. i got stabbed with a pencil in my thigh when i was 7 years old. i am 50 and there is still a dark spot there. even a graze from something moving that fast takes tissue with it. not even a mark on his ear. it was FAKE.

the thing is, the administration that is pulling these stunts relies on ignorant people to uphold the lie. do not be one of those people.

You don't need to work in the medical field to know that not every injury leaves visible a scar. That just isn't true, so you don't have to keep saying it. I have put countless bandaids on my kids' knees and elbows and shins, and they have very few scars to show it. I don't know why you're dying on that hill that every injury leaves a visible scar. It just doesn't. You don't need to be in the surgical field to know that. 

Getting stabbed with a pencil is different that getting a scratch. Puncture wounds heal differently. I certainly don't have a scar for every scratch Ive ever received. And I doubt you do too.

for there to be blood, the body has to be opened. a superficial graze would imply capillary bleeding, which is slow bleeding. not a big splatter like we saw in butler. cartilage does not bleed rapidly either. the ear is made up of cartilage with skin over it. for there to be bleeding the body has to be opened. the skin on the ear would retract from the cartilage leaving a visible opening that would need to be held closed mechanically with suture or staple to keep it closed, promote healing, and prevent infection. trump had none of those things. a wound with retracted skin would take longer to heal and would require more scar tissue which would leave evidence of skin discoloration. trump has none of those things. they put a maxi pad on his ear for less than a week. that is not enough time for a very vascular piece of tissue to heal. maybe on the scalp or the face, but not the ear. 

it is ok to admit you are falling for the bs. most americans are. no shame in it. but in this case, trump was not shot.

This is just making me chuckle... Someone isn't familiar with special effects, lol. It is super easy to fake a gun shot wound in real time, with blood. It's film FX 101. Not asking you to believe anything, it's just funny that you think making it look like his ear was shot in real time would be "magic" or necessitate a make-up artist coming out of the floor.
