Just had to show up. They posted about it on their Instagram stories only about 24 hours in advance and you were supposed to screenshot it and show it as your "ticket" but they didn't really check. Kind of a small turnout with probably less than 30 people total. They had free food too in addition to all the swag.perfectlefts14 said:
That is so cool, sounds like a great time! Did you have to score tickets, or just show up?kasedoug said:Went to the album listening party they had in a Taco Bell Cantina in DTLA last night. Fun event!
Made out like a bandit with basically $100+ in free merch given to me including a copy of the webstore silver vinyl, trucker hat, new FF shirt, slipmat, and buttons.0 -

I'm in the same boat. I like Window (interesting music video too), but the standout part of the album for me is from Unconditional to Asking for a Friend.BrainofBGA said:Not doing much for me at the moment. On the first run through. So far, I really like this one. I appreciate that the production is more stripped down and raw than their last few albums. I'm on track 8 and haven't heard a single track that I thought was weak.
To be honest, most FF albums have a fair number of songs that I skip. Wasting Light was the last one that I liked all the way through. I feel like this new one is exactly the album the universe needed Foo Fighters to make.If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0 -
Asking for a Friend an early highlight for sure. Im trying not to do too many repeated listens. Listen on my commute, wait a day or two and listen again. Giving it some space and seeing what grows over the next week or so.Pap said:

I think my opinion of this album would be so much more positive if it weren't for the ear-splitting production. On some songs I really have to turn down the volume to avoid getting a headache. I like some of it better upon the second listen but it is no where near as good as "But Here We Are". I do like that it's short.0

Sounds like a record that should’ve been canned and start over… I’ve listened a few times, it’s flat and doesn’t do a darn thing for me
They still play fun shows0 -

I’m in the Irving Plaza line now for tickets for their show there tonight. I got my wristband to buy tickets yesterday. Tickets go on sale at 10:00am. We were told if we have a wristband we are guaranteed tickets. There is a huge standby line across the street for people without wristbands. I was told they are only letting 750 people in for the show tonight. So excited!!Post edited by GlowGirl on0
