    Can you break that down for me? I've never been to a festival before, so I'm not sure what to expect. We just barely did a week long vacation in central and southern California, so based on that and doing a little price checking, I was thinking: 
    Airfare: $300 x 2
    Hotel, 4 nights: $900 (about 10 miles away in Laguna Hills)
    Car rental: $400
    Tickets: $600 x 2
    Total: $3000 + food 
    I know festival food prices can be excessive, and I hear you need a parking pass or pay for shuttle.
    Don't bother to try to break it down. This person may fly first class... stay in nicer places.. go VIP... drink alot of $17 cocktails. Parking is $60... although I park for free when I go because I know spots. 
    It's their choice to spend like that.

    Weird? I went to Australia for 4 weeks and didn't spend that much.

    VIP at Ohana is a waste. You are actually farther away. But I could see how a person could drop 10K. Not everyone travels with a backpack and stays at the Hampton Inn. Four people traveling? Easy 10K. Laguna is not a cheap place.

    Very easy to spend 10k without even trying… 4 nights / 2 ppl just for a hotel will run you north of 6K to stay close… seee

    😅😅😅😅 insane.. that's a super jacked up festival rate! You guys are missing point... no one is denying one COULD spend 10k.... it's SHOULD one spend that. 
    Let's move on.... if you're gonna spend that on a hotel at least make it 5 star...

    Four of us are traveling from east coast (two from CT one from NY and one from D.C.) We are all in our fifties so value convenience and comfort over savings. $600 each for airfare as we’d rather fly into John Wayne versus LAX with the least amount of connections and layover time. So $2400 for flights (saved some here with Delta points but would have been $2400 w/o). Air bnb full condo on beach in San Clemente versus two hotel rooms. $1800 but we all have own room and have roof deck with fire pit and beach views versus splitting a room with another dude. Not doing VIP as we would prefer GA so saving some here. Guessing $2400 for four 3 day passes. Car rental probably another $500. So before food, parking and lots of beer we are looking at $7100 between four?  Probably be close to 10k when done for four of us. 10k a person you are living like a king.

    Lots of beer at fest at $15+ a drink will sure jack up the costs.

    Are you saying the Coachella radius clause? If Jack white is at Ohana this year he may have an exclusion from the radius clause because of being a last minute addition to the lineup. Also Goldenvoice promotes both Coachella and Ohana, so Ohana might not be included in the radius clause. Last year Green Day was announced with the rest of the Ohana lineup (actually accidentally leaked by Green Day themselves early) after playing Coachella.

    Me either but they are headlining Shaky Knees and Sea Hear and Now prior so they are at that level now

    Be Ohana’s clause (if there is one) and have nothing to do with Coachella. Ohana waiting to announce after Coachella is only clause involving them. Ohana wouldn’t want bands headlining amphitheaters same week as them but probably don’t care that JW is playing 2000 seat venue.
